From the past few days, we have shared a lot of great memories, strong bonds, unforgettable moments, and the Revival of our Faith through the Holy Spirit 🕊️ Our Summer Institute 2024 may end, but the amazing moments and hopeful lessons we shared will definitely remain in our hearts, minds, and souls. 🤍

All of these wouldn't be possible without our Lord’s guidance and provision. He gathered us together to unite us and to remind all of us of His unfailing and everlasting love. With Him, there is 𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚, 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚, and 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚. All glory, honor, and praises belongs to you Lord Jesus, our creator, our saviour, and our redeemer! 🙌🏻

This year's S.I. 2024 was a blast and indeed one for the books 😉 From the creative performances done by each group, hopeful lectures from our inspirational lecturers/pastors, business sessions, satisfying meals, fun activities --amazing race, praising and worshipping the Lord, crying our hearts out --revival night, and creating memories from our new and old friends from different local churches 🤝🏻 It was definitely memorable, not only for us, but to everyone who joined the camp. We look forward to the next event! 🙌🏻

We thank every people who contributed for this event, to the church: Mortola UMC, the workers and the congregation, for all the support. Even to our supportive families for letting us join this wonderful event. 🫶🏻

As the year 2024 reach its midyear, we excitedly announce another thrilling event this summer, our 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙚 2024, with the theme, "PAGLAUM", a Visayan word which translates to “Pag-asa” in Tagalog and in English, "Hope". 🎉✨

𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙊𝙇𝘼 𝙐𝙈𝘾 𝙏𝙍𝘼𝘾𝙏 𝘿𝙄𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙄𝘽𝙐𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 ♡

Praise the Lord for another successful activity with the vision to share the good news of Christ and spread His love towards His people.

On March 30, 2024 (Black Saturday) youth volunteers of Mortola UMC, their Pastors, Ptr. Kenneth and Ptr. March and the chairperson of Witness Ministry, Kzar Chēz distributed spiritual tracts. This is part of the observance of the Holy Week for the people to remember God's love in their lives.

The team was split into 2 groups where the 1st group was tasked to offer a prayer and share the good news at Cogon Market, while the other group shared tracks at Gaston Park and Divisoria Area.

Many lessons and realizations transpired during and after the distribution of tracts. The reality of being rejected when sharing the Gospel like Jesus did thousands of years ago is still the same as today. Still, the experience was worth it, especially seeing the smiles of the people and the children who received and read the given tracts.

All glory and thanks to God for His unending love and guidance! All of these wouldn't be possible if it weren't for Him. He taught us to love one another, so we must share His love "And then He told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone." Mark 16:15

Summer Institute has been an avenue for the youth to have a fellowship as they continue to be rooted in their Christian faith to grow and flourish. It becomes an arm and vessel of the youth to provide activities as agents of justice, peace, hope, and love.

This year's Summer Institute theme, 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸: 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝘂𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗶. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗱, seeks to let the youth recommit their covenants as God’s chosen people, return to what they ought to be in Christ, and make God known through their lives and testimonies. It is with hope that they continue to regain and embrace back their desire to continue living their missions and visions with the assurance that comes from Christ for the transformation of the world.

Abangan kami ngayong March 12 ng 7PM para sa isang pagbabalik-tanaw at pagtuklas kung ano nga ba ang kahalagahan nito sa atin bilang mga Kabataan.
