Crowds swarm the Capitol University Museum of Three Cultures Art Gallery at SM Lanang, Davao City as spectators view the art pieces and watched as the artists flaunt their craftsmanship in doing a Live Portrait Sketching.

The Grand Opening of the 6th Mindanao Art 2024: Art On The Edge at SM Lanang, Davao City, Philippines.

The Mindanao Art is an exhibition of Mindanaoan Artists and Artisans, as well as guest exhibitors from Visayan and Luzon.

The event is joined by hundreds of Mindanaoan Artists of different advocacies, races and causes.

Capitol University, represented by the Capitol University Museum of Three Cultures and the office is part of this annual cause.

For this year, 7 Kagay-anon artists, headed by the University Resident Artist, Nicolas Aca, Jr, showcased artworks that entail stories of culture, passion and life. The gallery is curated by the Manager of the office, Alejo Tugonon.

Audition is open to all CU college students except incoming 4th year level students. Auditions will begin on June 5 to 21, 2024. Passing the audition grants membership to the performing group and a FULL SCHOLARSHIP under the Cultural Scholarship Program.

Interested applicants must submit 2 videos via https://tinyurl.com/CUGC-Aud2024 or you may scan the QR Code below.

1. a 1-minute video of the applicant singing a classic Filipino song, and

2. a 1-minute video of the applicant singing a standard song in English.

Applicants who pass the audition will be notified via email and will be scheduled for an interview.

“CU and CU-CAO at the International Behavioral Art Festival V at New Delhi, India”

The CU- Culture and Arts office takes pride as our resident artist, Nicolas Aca, brings CU and the Philippines to New Delhi as one of the international artists for the International Behavioral Art Festival V. The event will commence on 16th of May and will culminate on the 19th, 2024.

CU, CU-CAO, and the Capitol University Museum of Three Cultures is proud of you!

Please be informed of the temporary closure of the Museum of Three Cultures until further notice.

The CU Museum of Three Cultures has been temporarily closed to the public since February 17, 2024, until further notice.

This is due to the ongoing renovations and repairs in the Building III ground floor, which also affects the museum area.

From 12-15 January, the WYC international jury along with the conductor of the 2024 session and the Session Manager met in Berlin to discuss the details of the upcoming session, listen to all the auditions received and select the singers who will take part in the project this summer!
