17th PNHRS Week | Caraga Join us in the 17th PNHRS Week Celebration with the theme "Leveraging Global Networks in Advancing the National Health Research System.".
๐ธ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ | NorMinCoHRD conducted a workshop on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) via Zoom on July 1-2, 2024. The workshop aimed to enhance the SOPs of the Research Ethics Committee (REC). The speakers for this two-day event were Dr. Fred P. Guillergan and Dr. Maria Salome N. Vios, both members of the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board โ Committee on Standards and Accreditation (PHREB CSA).
The workshop was attended by NMMC, MSU-IIT, BukSU, NorMinCoHRD, and CMU. It featured insightful group exercises and discussions that resulted in comprehensive revisions and improvements to the SOPs of each REC. NorMinCoHRD aims to submit the revised SOPs for accreditation this year.

This 3-day training, running from June 20-22, 2024, aims to empower the faculty with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their research endeavors. The consortium has invited speakers from its pool of experts to lead this enriching experience.

The four committee composition of NorMinCoHRD convened for the 2nd Quarter at the Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City on May 24, 2024, to discuss the current status of the consortium's operations. Key points included a performance review of the past quarter, assessment of resource allocation and planning of strategic initiatives for the upcoming quarter.
The committees are Capacity Building, Research Management, Research Ethics and Research Utilization.

The partnership between DOH CHD-NM and DOST-X underscores the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration in enhancing healthcare services and promoting public health. The event was attended by Dr. Sulpicio Henry M. Legaspi, Jr., Regional Director of DOH CHD-NM, Dr. Ellenieta Hmv N. Gamolo, Assistant Regional Director of DOH CHD-NM, Ms. Bonita B. Manguilimotan, Regional Coordinator of NORMINCOHRD, and other staff from both offices.
Simultaneously, DOST-X has handed over the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA) 2023-2028 handbook to DOH CHD-NM. This strategic document outlines the nation's health research priorities for the next five years, providing a roadmap for addressing critical health issues through focused and collaborative research efforts.
