We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear friend and fellow alumnus, 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐛 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚 who was an 𝐀𝐋𝐆𝐂𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 wayback 2019-2021. Jacob’s radiant spirit touch everyone who knew him, leaving a sincere lasting impact that will never be forgotten by the entire ALGCIT & XUSHS community.

Holy Week Closure

The Filinvest Hall (ALGCIT Dormitory) will close on Sunday, 24 March 2024 at 12 PM. G12 residents will be homebound during this time. The G11 residents have already checked out the day before.

Residents are required to move back into the Hall beginning 1:00 PM on Sunday, 31 March 2024.

As a pillar of the ALG-CIT community, Mr. Sabal has consistently inspired and guided the scholars with his unwavering commitment and adherence to his philosophy and principles in life. His dedication and discipline have been instrumental in shaping the academic experiences of the scholars, instilling in them values that will resonate throughout their lives. We are thrilled to share the highlights of the recent ALGCIT Campus and Dormitory Blessing, which took place on May 28, 2023. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Jesuit priest, representatives from Xavier University administration, Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC), the Gotianun family, and ALGCIT staff.

The program commenced with registration, where attendees were warmly received by the ushers. This was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the official inauguration of the ALGCIT Campus. A blessing rights was then held to seek blessings for the newly constructed facilities.

The highlight of the event was the consecration of the Andrew L Gotianun Sr Center for Integrated Technologies (ALGCIT), encompassing three halls: Mercedes Gotianun Hall, Alvarez Hall, and Filinvest Hall. Mr. Jonathan T Gotianun, Chairman of the Board of Filinvest Development Corp, Filinvest Land, Inc, and EastWest Banking Corporation, graced the occasion alongside Mr. Juan Eugenio Roxas, President and CEO of FDC Utilities, Inc (FDCUI). They were warmly welcomed by Fr-President Mars P Tan, SJ, along with other officials and personnel from Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan.

Additionally, Paul Mondelo, an ALGCIT scholar beneficiary and the former ALGCIT council chairperson, delivered an inspiring speech during the gathering. He expressed his gratitude to the Gotianun family for their invaluable support, highlighting the transformative impact it had on the lives of ALGCIT scholars. Paul Mondelo's speech resonated deeply with the benefactors and served as a testament to the meaningful opportunities provided by their generosity

Following the ceremonies, Mr. Jonathan T Gotianun had a meaningful interaction with the ALGCIT scholars at Filinvest Hall (ALGCIT Dormitory), engaging in a short talk and a question-and-answer session. It was a long but fulfilling day for everyone involved, as everyone expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Gotianun Family for their unwavering generosity. The event concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
