Our beloved Kevin (aka GXR) is Curve's most popular model. ⁠
To pay tribute to our trail-blazing hero, we AIRified it and produced a race version. To do this, we opted for semi-internal cable routing and removed all extraneous M5 mounts to achieve the clean, streamlined look you would expect of a gravel race bike.⁠
The defining feature of AIR Kev is a custom carbon seat tube bonded to the titanium frame here in Melbourne using state-of-the-art adhesives. AIR Kev also features a custom, one-off Ride 415 fork and a prototype G4.5T wheelset, the evolution of our current G4T model.⁠

Frame and original components on this '97 model were still in great condition! Everything has been taken apart, cleaned and re-greased. We stayed rather low-key during this transformation into a Street Shredder and replaced only what was necessary for a reimagined purpose and look.

The crank is the original one that the bike came with, simply converted to be used in this 1x8 setup.
The derailleur that was on the bike was not original, so we replaced it with a Shimano STX RC model from back in the 90s.

She has already found a new home, but feel free to slide in our DMs if you are looking for a similar Street Shredder build 📨😉

Posted • Speed. Not something Donkeys are known for, yet here we are. It’s crazy that this bike that is sometimes a loaded down beast of burden can also transform into such a stunning space ship. For this build our very good friend has a singular initial purpose in mind: He’s heading back for another run at , singlespeed, no doubt with the goal of improving his previous 2nd place result. So this Donkey; It’s built for speed indeed. are deep and gorgeous with the sheen of the raw fibers that match the frame, and they’re mated to hubs paired to feathery light and incredibly strong . The handlebars already have an Unbound 200 win to prove their function. stem and post match the mood perfectly. The ALDHU super light crankset with the aero chainring and power meter give all the necessary visual hints to their purpose, and are mated to that single, fated rear cog. But, lest we forget the raddest detail of the bike: the all black bell, with its friendly ring, is the best finishing touch this bike could ever hope for.
Donkeys may not be known for speed, but we’re so excited to watch this one fly. If you hear a friendly bell at Unbound, that may or may not be Lucas rolling by. 🛎️
