๐ธโจ Successful Community Outreach Program at Sitio Watawat Palanan area, Brgy. Lecheria, Calamba City, Laguna โจ๐ธ
Earlier today (June 8, 2024), the College of Nursing proudly carried out a fruitful Community Outreach Program themed "Kalusugan at Kalinga para sa Komunidad: Serbisyo mula sa Puso." This heartwarming event was led by our committed Level 4 Senior Nursing Students, together with the College Community Outreach Coordinator and Level 4 Adviser, Cristina E. Elauria, RN, MAN.
The day began with a solemn Opening Prayer, followed by inspiring Opening Remarks. The energy soared as we engaged the community with a variety of fun and interactive Games, bringing smiles to faces young and old.
Health Teachings were the cornerstone of the day, providing essential information on COVID-19 prevention, cough etiquette, proper hand washing techniques, waste segregation, and medication compliance. These sessions aimed to empower the community with knowledge and practices that promote health and well-being. Vital signs were also taken during this session to ensure the well-being of all participants.
In the spirit of service, we organized a Feeding program, ensuring that everyone enjoyed a nutritious meal. We also distributed goods, bringing joy and relief to many families.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Gener Suelto, Chairman of Health Committee, for assisting us throughout the activity.
Throughout the event, the warmth and gratitude of Palanan's residents were palpable. Their participation and enthusiasm highlighted the strong community spirit that binds them together.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to those who made this event possible: Gov. Ramil Hernandez, Cong. Ruth Mariano, Cong. Cha Hernandez, Councilor Kath Silva, Councilor Edison Natividad, Councilor Arvin Manguiat, Rosalinda Palma, Teresita Falome, and Vanessa Mirasol. Your support and assistance were invaluable.
Together, we demonstrated that with compassion and dedication, we can make a significant difference in our community. ๐
