𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲

In view of the continuous rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and Typhoon “Carina,” and to aid in the rescue, recovery, relief and rehabilitation efforts of the government and the private sector, work in government offices and classes at all levels in Regions III, IV-A and the National Capital Region are hereby suspended on 25 July 2024.

However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

Base sa naging anunsyo ng Office of the Executive Secretary, suspendido ang klase sa lahat ng antas sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan, gayundin ang trabaho sa mga tanggapan ng gobyerno sa Region III, IV-A kabilang na ang Laguna, at NCR, sa Huwebes, Hulyo 25, 2024.

Ito ay maliban sa mga tanggapang may kaugnayan sa serbisyong medikal, paghahanda at pagresponde sa kalamidad, at iba pang vital services na nangangailangan ng agarang atensyon, na mananatiling bukas at operational.

Ang suspensyon naman po ng trabaho sa mga pribadong kompanya at tanggapan ay nasa desisyon po ng kani-kanyang pamunuan.

Nais ko pong ipabatid sa lahat na alinsunod sa Orange Rainfall Warning na inilabas ng PAGASA, wala pong pasok sa lahat ng pribadong paaralan sa ating lungsod sa lahat ng antas. Sa mga pampubliko namang paaralan na nagsasagawa ng brigada eskwela ay pwede rin nyo muna itong ipagpaliban at magobserba sa lagay ng panahon.

Ito po ay hakbang upang masig**o ang kaligtasan ng ating mga mag-aaral at mga g**o sa gitna ng inaasahang malakas na pag-ulan. Ang ating pangunahing layunin ay mapanatiling ligtas ang bawat isa mula sa anumang posibleng peligro na dulot ng masamang panahon.

Inaabisuhan ko po ang lahat na manatili sa loob ng kanilang mga tahanan kung hindi kinakailangang lumabas. Hinihikayat ko rin po ang lahat na patuloy na maging alerto at mag-monitor ng mga anunsyo mula sa ating lokal na pamahalaan at sa PAGASA para sa mga karagdagang impormasyon at mga susunod na hakbang.

The Schools Division Office of Calamba City formally kicked off this year’s Brigada Eskwela hosted by Punta Integrated School at the school’s covered court on July 22, 2024.

A motorcade participated by SDO officials and personnel, school heads, Brigada Eskwela and Adopt-a-School Program Coordinators, community members, and stakeholders signaled the start of the activity with the theme, “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan.”

Key officials from the City Government of Calamba headed by Hon. Roseller ‘Ross’ H. Rizal graced the occasion, highlighting the collective effort to ensure a well-prepared learning environment for the Calambeño learners.

This activity marks the beginning of a week-long series of activities dedicated to school cleaning, maintenance, and improvement in all public schools nationwide in preparation for the new school year.

The school year 2024-2025 will begin on July 29, 2024.

𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐒𝐜𝐢'𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐓𝐕 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡

CCSIS pride, James Isaac Lazerna, Hans Kenji Negrillo, and Raiza Dela Viña, won the most coveted First Place titles in their respective roles in the 2024 National Schools Press Conference's (NSPC) TV Scriptwriting and Broadcasting Filipino Category which contributed to Championship for the CALABARZON region.

Lazerna took the top spot and hailed as the Best Anchor in the Philippines together with Negrillo as Best Technical Application Specialist and Dela Viña as Best Director and Scriptwriter. These put great impact to winning the Best in Script title as well.

Meanwhile, Althea Sophia Balagtas, Lance Brandon Ashlee Lanceras, and John Rafael Valdez together with other broadcasters of Team CALABARZON clutched the 3rd Best Script in the TV Scriptwriting and Broadcasting English Category. Also, Balagtas and Lanceras reaped recognitions as 3rd Best Anchor and 3rd Best Scriptwriter, respectively.

Mark Jacob, an elementary student from Calamba City wowed the gymnastics (MAG) event by clinching four gold medals, making him the most bemedalled athlete of Region IV-A. Mark’s outstanding achievement in gymnastics is a testament to his dedication and skill.

“Ten years old nang una akong tumakbo sa track. Nung grade 4 kasi ako, inaya ako ng pinsan ko tapos nung una hindi pumayag mga parents ko pero nung pinipilit ko na sila, wala na rin silang nagawa. Kasi dati ang pinapagawa ng parents ko ay pinapaturuan nila akong mag-piano. Nung 2019 grade 4 ako unang sumali sa track, pasok kami sa regional tapos hindi siya natuloy. Ang unang sabak ko sa Palaro ay last year 2023 sa Marikina.

Ang nasa isip ko kapag tumatakbo ako is kaya ko! Kaya ko siyang tapusin kahit pagod na ako. Bago tumakbo, unang-una sa lahat is nagpre-pray ako before ng competition tapos pinaghahandaan talaga namin as in araw-araw kaming nagtre-training mapa umaga or hapon tapos road run.

Ang goal ko sa Palaro ngayon ay makakuha ulit ng gold medal. Bali tatlo ang events ko: 400 meters hurdles, 800 meters tapos 1500 meters. Gusto ko kapag narinig ng ibang tao ang pangalan ko maalala nila ako na magaling ako sa 800 meters. Gusto ko rin makapag set ng bagong record pero feel ko na hindi ko pa kaya, pero susubukan ko dahil gusto kong maka gold. Naniniwala ako na, ‘Kapag may tiyaga, may nilaga’ kasi ‘pag nagtyatyaga ka ang kapalit noon is maganda ang kakalabasan.”

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. issued Presidential Proclamation No. 627, s. 2024 declaring July 2024 as the National Census and Community-Based Monitoring System Month.

Beginning July 15, 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will conduct the Census of Population (POPCEN) and Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Household Data Collection.

LOOK: SDO Calamba City continues the Division Training of School Trainers on Higher-Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) for English, Science, and Mathematics Teachers at Monte Vista Hotsprings and Conference Resort on July 9-12, 2024.

The training will support public school teachers in performing pedagogy and assessment practices that promote higher-order thinking skills for Grades 7 to 10.

This activity aims to deepen the participants’ understanding of HOTS and the appropriate approaches to help teachers reflect these skills in their respective classroom practices by developing HOTS items/questions for Science, Mathematics, and English/Reading subjects.

In a significant stride towards enhancing the quality of education, the Schools Division Office of Calamba City rolls the Division Training of School Trainers on Higher-Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) for English, Science, and Mathematics Teachers at Monte Vista Hotsprings and Conference Resort on July 9-12, 2024.

This training aims for selected high school teachers to demonstrate an understanding of the SOLO framework and the HOTS learning packages, explain how the framework is applied in teaching strategies or activities under the identified learning approaches, and use this framework in categorizing learner responses and formulating assessment items promoting higher-order thinking.

Batuhan, descendants of Rizal, and representatives of various organizations.

Mr. Virgil Daniel R. Villaruz, a descendant of Rizal, served as guest of honor and speaker. The program also included a special performance by select learners from Calamba Bayside Integrated School.
