The transparents. The all-out and no pretensions; wounds exposed so others can help and also be healed.

Then there's the opaques. The silent and go-with-the-flow. They hide their scars and heal by themselves so others can be healed.

It's always an honor to paint someone's portrait. But I am more thankful to those clients who let me paint painterly style. It allows me to feel loose and free. "If it's not fun, it's not worth doing," so they say. 🙂

This is a commission work I did for a colleague. She particularly asked me to paint a woman pouring water from a jar. I didn't know what inspired her to have this, but this quote from the author Christen Rodgers radiates from this painting.

We all have different definitions of happiness (some are misunderstood by some). Whatever it is, I hope you have found that deep, endless source of happiness within you, so that you could share it with others. 🙂
