Ngayong araw, Agosto 28, ay ginanap ang split-type session para sa ikatlong Tindahan mo e-Level Up Mo ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) sa City of Carmona. Nasa 65 participants ang aktibong dumalo sa session kung saan tinalakay naman ang "e-Level Up ang Puhunan" o ang tamang pagba-budget ng puhunan at kita ng mga Sari-Sari Store Owners. Tinalakay din dito ang financial literacy at makabagong pamamaraan ng pag-iimpok ng pera tulad ng e-wallet, digital banking, at proper lending hatid ng Uno Digital Bank, GCash, Fuse Lending, at Smart Ka-Partner Business.

Para sa session ngayong araw ay pinadala ng DTI ang Smart Communications, Inc. at Nestle para magsagawa ng Diskwento Caravan sa mga lumahok na Sari-Sari Store Owners. Ang susunod na session ng nasabing programa ay isasagawa sa darating Setyembre 25, 2024.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed Undersecretary Ma. Cristina Aldeguer - Roque as the Acting Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), following the resignation of Secretary Alfredo Pascual, effective August 2, 2024.

Undersecretary Roque has been instrumental in leading the MSME Development Group within DTI, executing various programs and initiatives focused on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). She oversees critical areas including the Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprise Development, the Bureau of Marketing Development and Promotions, the OTOP Program Management Office, and the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Management Office. Additionally, she manages the operations of the Small Business Corporation and the Cooperative Development Authority.

Undersecretary Roque holds a B.S. in Industrial Management Engineering, minor in Chemical Engineering, from De La Salle University. She completed her secondary education at De La Salle Santiago Zobel in Alabang and her primary education at Colegio de San Agustin - Makati and De La Salle Santiago Zobel.

The President emphasized the importance of the Department of Trade and Industry and the need for capable leadership. The DTI plays a pivotal role in our nation's economic growth, particularly in supporting MSMEs. He noted Roque's dedication and leadership in the MSME sector make her an excellent choice for the position.

The President has expressed his gratitude to Secretary Pascual for his service and contributions to the department, as he looks forward to a seamless transition under Acting Secretary Roque's leadership.

Section 6 also stipulates that unless sooner lifted by the President, automatic price control on necessities shall remain effective for the duration of the condition that brought it about, but not more than 60 days.

In this regard, please be guided accordingly of the prevailing prices/price ceilings in grocery stores, supermarkets and wet markets in the Province.
