This exercise aims to demonstrate how well-prepared the staff and students at Baybay City Senior High School from this kind of emergencies.

During the election of officers yesterday, September 6, 2023, the nominated individuals engaged in vibrant discussions, sharing their visions and ambitions for the organization. STUDS conducts earthquake drill at Baybay City Senior High School.

The activity was super headed by the STUDS coordinator, Sir Alvin Albaladejo, and the members of the organization.

The students present in the event received a brief demonstration on how to perform proper bandaging on wounds and injuries. The scout law and oath were recited by the students in connection to the opening of the scouting activities.

According to the STUDS, further scouting activities such as the fire-making will happen the following week on friday, May 26.

Congratulations to our student-journalists and teacher-coaches!!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the talented students and dedicated teacher-coaches from our school who showcased their exceptional skills at the Division Schools Press Conference 2023. The event, held at Baybay National High School from May 13-15, 2023, brought together participants under the inspiring theme of "From Campus Journalism to Real-World Journalism: Shaping Minds from Schools to Societies."

Our school demonstrated an impressive level of commitment by participating in almost all categories of the DSPC, and their hard work paid off in the form of numerous awards and recognitions.

Sam Christian Duco, a STEM student, achieved outstanding success by securing first place in the Layout & Page Design in English category. Alongside his exceptional team, they triumphed as grand prize winners in the sports and sci-tech sections, showcasing their versatility and talent. Furthermore, their remarkable efforts secured them a commendable second place in the News, Feature, and Editorial Sections. In addition to these accolades, they were honored with the prestigious title of Best School Paper in the English Category, further cementing their excellence.

Our individual competitors also displayed remarkable prowess in their respective fields. Jamaica Bañoc, skillfully guided by Teacher Rowena Amor T. Fernandez, secured an impressive second place in the Feature Writing category. Mark Andrie Pelicano, under the guidance of Jerome Damicog, showcased his creative talents by earning second place in Editorial Cartooning. Another standout performer, Lei Rea Salde, expertly coached by Stephen Baltazar, claimed the coveted Grand Prize in Copyreading and Headline Writing.

In the Group Competition, the Collaborative Desktop Publishing team, mentored by Dazzilyn P. Montes, achieved an outstanding second place, demonstrating their collaborative spirit and dedication to excellence.

The concurrent competitions also brought further glory to our school. Brix Ivan N. Baquero's Campus Journalism Research, guided by the expertise of Jessamyne Jade Meliton, was awarded the Best Output. Additionally, Tamayo Maruyama, under the guidance of Catherine Albarico, and Arkim Baltazar, expertly coached by Jolie Ann Pada, both received the same prestigious award in their respective categories: Science Discovery and Advocacy Journalism.

We are also delighted to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our BCSHS faculty. Dioress Vincen T. Arayan's remarkable dedication and guidance earned him the well-deserved recognition as the Most Outstanding School Paper Adviser. Moreover, we proudly celebrate the exceptional achievement of Japhet Noelmar Aranas, who was honored as the Most Outstanding Journalist in the secondary level category.

The exceptional accomplishments of our students and teacher-coaches have undeniably left an indelible mark on this prestigious competition. Their remarkable dedication, talent, and hard work have earned them a well-deserved place of honor, leaving a lasting legacy for our school.
