2023 is coming to a close.

This year has been extremely challenging for us. We haven't given up because we always ask the question "What about our clients? What about everyone who has made a conscious choice to lessen carbon emissions?"

We prioritize safety!

Today we won't be opening shop in account of the safety of our tech who lives in areas prone to flood. The rainy weather is due to typhoon about to enter the PAR.

Tips for your electric mobility device if you live in flooded areas:

1. Charge up your device prior to the typhoon entry. You will need that juice in case blackouts occur. The scooter/ebike's light can be very useful for several days of use.

2. If you can, bring up the units in an elevated area.

3. If parked outside but not flooding, please use a cover to prevent excess moisture from affecting the device

4. Cover the charging ports. Even if they are small, small drops of water entry can damage the terminal

If your unit gets wet please do the following:

1. AVOID TURNING ON THE UNIT
2. Remove the battery and pat dry
3. Immediately send us a message and schedule for an emergency water clean-up

We have handled scooters that had water entry and THEY WERE SAVED. Prevention, caution and knowledge can make a difference between an affordable repair and an expensive replacement.

How to Choose A Helmet for eBiking or eScooting?

Here's a basic checklist for you for any cycling helmet in general.

1. Measure your head for the right size.
2. Check for safety certifications (e.g., CPSC, EN1078).
3. Ensure a snug fit, with a "V" shape around ears.
4. Prioritize comfort and ventilation.
5. Pick a style that suits your cycling activities. 🚴‍♂️👍🔒

However, when choosing your helmet for escooting and ebiking, you have to consider that you might need something with extra protection.

1. If you can, go full face. A large number of escooter accidents have a direct impact on the face so a face-guard definitely can make the difference
2. When it's cheap, it's most likely compromising somewhere, possibly the material of the helmet will easily break and actually provide little to no protection
3. Visible is better. You might notice some helmets are brightly colored and that's because it is preferable to ride visible to other motorists. Besides, darker colors absorb more sun than lighter ones so it's also better under the heat of the sun.
4. When trailing helmets, or those that are of lighter builds tend to be very expensive, you can consider a motorcycle helmet with the proper certification. It may be heavier and hotter, but protection is still superb should an accident happen.

Remember, the difference between life and death in several road accidents was just one helmet away. Your life IS WORTH the small effort of wearing a helmet.
