You will see the younger plant with scars, maybe from sunburn. As years pass though, the cactus grew fresh layers pushing its old "skin" to the bottom... so you can still see the scars and imperfections somewhere on the bottom of the plant, but you also see it enduring, adapting and growing beautifully through time.

Imbricata babies. Their leaves became more fleshy, probably because of the colder nights in February.

There's almost no such thing as too much sun or too much rain for this hardy sedum.

Cats claw in full sun and rain. I'm thinking of moving them again because the heat is getting intense but we'll see.
