A short film directed by Lance Christian Gabriel,

𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: a marginalized deaf girl struggles to sell 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘨 (cooked food scraps) within the slums of her locality to fund her education and daily necessities. However, a foreign man decides to vlog/document how she makes 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘨 and receives negative feedback, now she is faced to endure backlash from the public whilst trying to make ends meet.

𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬: In the shadowy corners of a slum in Cebu, a deaf girl, marginalized and resilient, fights an uphill battle. Her only solace lies in the gritty trade of 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘨—scraps of cooked food salvaged to fund her education and daily needs. But when an intriguing foreigner arrives with a camera, eager to capture her struggle, the innocent act of documentation spirals into a public spectacle. The exposure brings a storm of criticism crashing down upon her, leaving her to navigate the treacherous waters of public scorn and scrutiny.

Hello! This has been my overall performance in my 4 years of trial and error as a amateur filmmaker. I definitely have grown a lot from the past years and achieved where I am today, compared where I first started. To formally, introduce myself I am Lance Christian C. Gabriel, a 21 year old 3rd Year Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Cinema student from the University of San Carlos - School of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design. The purpose of this demo reel is for me showcase my creative portfolio, for internship. Honing my craft, practicing and learning new experiences and knowledge throughout my journey. I am a dedicated CINEMATOGRAPHER at heart, but I would love to direct when the opportunity arises.
