As an alumna of the College of Allied Medical Sciences and College of Medicine, both of which have extensive and well-organized curriculum, I have been meticulously trained to be proficient and honed to the best of my abilities - theory and skill-wise. This learned competence made me confident to explore my footing to advance in my career path.

CDU’s academic program gave us first-hand opportunities to be involved in the actual healthcare setting to prepare us for the “real world”. These are not just core memories, but practical knowledge that definitely came in handy during my practice. I was self-assured to conquer challenges with the good backing of experiences in varied cases I have encountered over the years.

Definitely. Bearing the badge of CDU carries a distinction of quality. It was easier to be accepted to training programs and apply for affiliations in renowned institutions. CDU, being a university, has a vast network of connections. This helped me earn patient referrals and recommendations for speaking engagements.

4) 𝙃𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝘾𝘿𝙐 𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙣𝙖-𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙤𝙧 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨?
Capable but teachable, gets the work done and doesn’t leave any work behind. CDU alumni are known to be confident in their skills learned from the quality training and experience that the school offers. However, they are also humble enough to acknowledge what they do not know and are always willing to learn.

I have been conducting lectures to medical students and symposiums for the staff at the university. I never say no to these opportunities because it’s my way of giving back to my alma mater. These engagements have inspired me to always strive to be the best version of myself to be a better example to the younger aspirants.

Do not waste the opportunity of having a university with the best and state-of-the-art facilities, a university with a training hospital that is trusted for many years, where you can learn from a roster of great and distinguished healthcare professionals. Do not waste a teaching moment, always be hungry for opportunities to learn something even if it costs you your time and comfort. Trust me, I’ve been there and it was all well worth it!

I am an obstetrician-gynecologist who specializes in aesthetic and functional gynecology. Besides taking care of pregnant women and addressing general gynecologic concerns, my love and passion for making things beautiful have steered me to the path of Cosmetic Gynecology where I perform gynecologic laser-assisted, non-invasive and cosmetic surgical procedures to enhance the functionality and appearance of a woman’s intimate parts. My knack for teaching lead me to become a part-time professor at the College of Medicine and a speaker and advocate of HPV and Cervical Cancer awareness and Sexual Health.

2020 has been a difficult year. But still, there are so many things that I’m truly grateful for — the love of family and friends and good health for everyone I care about. In return, I’ve decided to celebrate my birthday through this little project that I have been working on — the anti-COVID pack. Each zipper pouch contains a reusable mask made of neoprene material with pocket for filters and a mini bottle of 70% isopropyl alcohol. These will be given to my patients and some frontliner friends.
