How is your heart doing tonight, friend?

Is it shattered into a million pieces?
Is it overcome with anxiety?
Is it filled with bitterness?
Is it overwhelmed with sadness?

Our hearts can feel so heavy sometimes and it can lead us to believe that we’re carrying it all alone. We begin to believe that God doesn’t really care about our hurt and before we know it, our heartaches turn into headaches as we try and wrestle our way out of the pain. What if this doesn’t have to be carried alone?

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Whatever the status of your heart tonight, God sees you and cares deeply about your pain. Scripture promises us that He is close to our broken hearts, He will draw near to use with His presence and His peace.

Let’s declare this together:
God is near.
