My mama found this gem hiding in my closet. This is a 20-year old evening bag which I made when I was broke, bored and jobless at 21. This is made of placemat. It’s actually unfinished.

We had an 8o-year old neighbor before who sewed the edges of the bags for me for I think P15/bag. Then I personally attached the magnetic locks and added a vintage brooch or whatever I fancied on top of the magnetic lock. It sold like crazy at the fair I attended, which made me do round the clock production. Like literally hammering them magnetic locks under the table while I was at the fair, and trying not to get caught by the mall guard. Always so proud to tell that story. Always so proud of my humble beginnings.
