In the context of Judaism, belief in God is fundamental and implicit in many of the commandments and teachings. While there isn't a specific commandment that explicitly states "to know there is a God," the monotheistic belief in the existence of God is central to Jewish faith. This belief is reinforced through various aspects of Jewish tradition, including prayers, rituals, and teachings found in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and other Jewish texts.

The Shema, one of the most important prayers in Judaism, encapsulates the belief in the oneness of God:

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

Additionally, the Ten Commandments, which are foundational to Jewish ethics and law, begin with the affirmation of God's existence and exclusive worship:

"I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:2-3)

Furthermore, Jewish tradition emphasizes the importance of studying Torah and engaging in acts of righteousness as ways to deepen one's relationship with God and affirm belief in His existence.

While there isn't a commandment specifically instructing individuals to "know there is a God," belief in God is understood as an inherent aspect of Jewish faith and is reflected throughout Jewish teachings, practices, and traditions.
