These encounters also keep us inspired to do better and make way for more possibilities to fight online gender-based violence (OGBV) in our City. 😊

Timely, I filed for Ordinance No. 24-38 “An Ordinance Strengthening The Preventive And Response Program Of The City Of Vigan In Handling Gender-Based Violence (GBV) And Violence Against Women And Children (VAWC), Establishment Of A VAWC And Gender-Based Violence Crisis Center, Mandating Its Implementation, And Providing Funds Thereof” last July 15, 2024. 𝙒𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙. 🫶🏻💜

“The City Government of Vigan conducted the quarterly Joint Meeting of the City Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (ILCAT-VAWC) and the City Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) led by Mayor Jose "Bonito" Singson Jr. on July 8, 2024, at Casa Vicente, Vigan City.

Representatives from the PNP, DepEd, CHO, and CSWDO attended the meeting to discuss quarterly accomplishment reports and upcoming events and programs focused on combating violence against women and protecting children. “ 📸Vigan City PH
