It was about 11PM when my cell phone rang. It was a call from Efren, an ex-seminarian (XVD), who sounded so distraught. He just arrived home, found his 75-year-old mother lying dead on her bed. In no time at all, the XVDs came to his assistance because Efren didn't know what to do.

When I came to see Efren, I pointed out his sacrifice, his love, his devotion to his mother. It was at this point when Efren broke down and cried, muttering, "Kulang pa, Father, Kulang pa!" (It was not enough, Father, it was not enough.)

Yes, we can never love enough. We can never love too much.
