On July 8, 2024 at 10:00 in the morning, PNP personnel of Cortes MPS under the direct supervision of PCPT MARVIN ARRANGUEZ CHIN, COP conducted police visibility and distribution of flyers regarding Anti-Criminality, Drug Awareness, Anti-Terrorism, Safe Spaces Act, and RA 9262 at Cortes, Bohol
This activity aims to heighten the awareness of the citizens in all public places regarding the modus operandi of criminal elements and give them enough knowledge regarding the ill effects of Drugs and the deceptive recruitment of terrorist groups.

“DRUG PERSONALITY NABBED DURING BUY-BUST OPERATION”
CORTES, BOHOL — through the continuous effort of Cortes PNP and its commitment to creating a drug-free community, another anti-illegal drug accomplishment was achieved through an intel-driven buy-bust operation.

On June 26, 2024, at around 1:15 A.M., the Municipal Drug Enforcement Team (𝗠𝗗𝗘𝗧) of Cortes MPS led by PCPT NICOLAS AÑOS APARILLA, COP conducted a buy-bust operation with PDEA coordination control no. 20002-062024-0622 and successfully apprehended a suspected drug personality at Purok 8 De La paz Cortes, Bohol. SLI.

The suspect is a 59-year-old, married, male, Filipino and a resident of Purok 2 Brgy. De La Paz, Cortes, Bohol and was then informed of his constitutional rights and is now facing charges that will bring him before the court.

The police poseur buyer successfully bought from the suspect two (2) heat-sealed small transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated weight of 0.16grams with a Standard Drug Price of Php 1,088.00 and recovered from the possession and control of the suspect the one (1) piece One Thousand peso bill utilized as marked money, one unit HONDA XRM125 color red and white combination and one (1) unit REALME cellphone owned by the latter.

Apparently, the said operation created a sense of safety and security for the constituents of Cortes and presented a clear testament to the unwavering commitment of the police force in their combat against illegal drugs.

Cortes Municipal Police Station will continue to uphold its duties, responsibilities, and the constitution. Intensification in the campaign against any form of illegal activities will be implemented to ensure that peace and order will be served accordingly concerning the 𝗣𝗡𝗣 𝗣.𝗔.𝗧.𝗥.𝗢.𝗟. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬 and with the active support of the community.

BADAC members of Barangay Malayo Norte, Cortes, Bohol convened its BADAC meeting on June 18, 2024 at 10:00 o'clock in the morning, with the active participation of Cortes Municipal Police Station - BPPO under the supervision of PCPT NICOLAS AÑOS APARILLA, COP to address concerns on the fight against illegal drugs, BDCP and other matters.
Also discussed during the meeting were the ff issues and concerns: KKDAT, ELCAC and other matters concerning the peace and order in their barangay.
