THE LONG WAIT IS OVER! THE APPLICATION FOR THE 3RD COHORT IS NOW OPEN!
Project Urduja is a mentoring program that aims to empower young women to become feminist leaders whose values are rooted on gender equality and social justice. From June to December 2023, the program will be done in three phases: (1) capacity-building, (2) project implementation, and (3) culminating activity.
The participants are expected to create projects in their local communities to apply what they learned from the mentoring program with any of the following goals:
1. Promote protection of women and girls from violence, abuse, and exploitation; or
2. Support womenโs political, economic, and civic participation; or
3. Strengthen the role of women in STEM, public health, or climate action
*The use of the word WOMAN/WOMEN pertains to GENDER and not s*x assigned at birth.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Form a team composed of 3 members of women leaders.
2. Each member must be 18-30 years old and a resident of the Philippines.
3. All members of the team must be available for a 3-day workshop in June 2023.
4. A small grant may be awarded to each team. Hence, upon completing the workshop, the team is required to create a gender-equality project based with any the following goals:
(a) Strengthen the role of women in STEM, public health, or climate action
(b) Promote protection of women and girls from violence, abuse, and exploitation
(c) Support womenโs political, economic, and civic participation
5. The project must be implemented from June to October 2023.

The YES Alumni Philippines and United States Government Alumni Association Maguindanao-Cotabato Chapter (USGAA Mag-Cot) conducted ๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ก๐๐ง: ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ณ๐ช๐ท๐ฆ ๐ข๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ข, ๐๐ข๐ต๐ถ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ด๐ถ๐ข๐ต, ๐๐ข๐จ๐ถ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ฐ ๐๐ฆ๐ญ ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ต๐ฆ, ๐๐๐๐๐.
A total of sixty-five (65) packs of food items, toiletries, and other essentials were donated by the Office Chief Minister, Ahod B. Ebrahim through OCM Kapayapaan sa Pamayanan (KAPYANAN) led by Assistant Chief Minister and KAPYANAN Project Manager, Mr. Abdullah Cusain in support of this initiative.

KL-YES Alumna, Ms. Jannah Amirah V. Abdulkarim from Batch 17 (2021-2022) led the project with beneficiaries coming from the Pura Womenโs Organization, a congregation of women in the area who are widely involved in community building and empowerment.

๐ฃCALLING ALL USGAA MAG-COT MEMBERS
We would like to inform you that the USGAA MagCot will be organizing another alumni get together.
We look forward to presenting what we have accomplished in 2022 and the first two months of 2023. We will also be sharing opportunities where you can volunteer/ participate as an alumni in the MagCot Network.
The alumni get together will be held on March 4, 2023, Saturday, from 9 am-11nn. Venue will be at the CSU-Research Office.
We will be providing snacks and drinks. You are also welcome to bring foods for sharing.

The United States Government Alumni Association Maguindanao-Cotabato Chapter has received a total of โฝ23,891.000 from various donors.
USGAA Mag-Cot will be handing over monetary and in-kind donations over to the LGU for prompt distribution.
OPERATION TABANG: Aid was extended to 300 survivors of Bagyong in Awang Elementary School, St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Institute Incorporated last October 30, 2022 by ADHIKA in collaboration with United States Government Alumni Association Maguindanao-Cotabato (USGAA Mag-Cot) and Pilumbayan with the help of Kamp Bravo and ROTC. The particulars given were pastil, boiled eggs, bottled water, biscuits, and clothes.
While we continue to be of service to our fellow Cotabateรฑos and our neighboring areas, we are still accepting donations at the moment in hopes of reaching more communities affected by the typhoon.

USGAA MagCot, a volunteer-based organization, will be organizing a series of medical mission for the survivors of Typhoon Paeng in Cotabato City and Maguindanao. As such, we are looking for volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and other allied health professionals to join us on November 1, 2022 as we conduct Operation Limo: Medical Mission.

USGAA MagCot, a volunteer-based organization, will be organizing a series of medical mission for the survivors of Typhoon Paeng in Cotabato City and Maguindanao (indicative dates will be on October 31- November 2, 2022) . As such, we are looking for volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals. We are also still in the process of collecting and consolidating donations for medicines, vitamins, alcohol, health kits, etc to be distributed to the survivors.
We are also planning to conduct PSS intervention for children so we will also need volunteer social workers.
If you are willing to donate, or if you know people who can donate, kindly share this with them. So far, we have already received pledges from a few individuals. We are also open for partnership with other existing groups/organizations.
