Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) activities encompass a diverse range of outdoor adventures, skill-building exercises, and community service initiatives. From camping and hiking to knot-tying, first aid, and leadership training, BSP activities aim to instill values of teamwork, responsibility, and character development in scouts. These activities not only promote physical fitness but also nurture a sense of citizenship, making scouts well-rounded individuals prepared for life's challenges.

The opening ceremony of a Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Camporee is a ceremonious event that marks the beginning of the camp gathering. It often includes the raising of the Philippine flag, recitation of the Scout Oath and Law, and speeches from scouting leaders. The atmosphere is filled with enthusiasm as scouts come together, showcasing unity and a commitment to the principles of scouting. The opening sets the tone for the camp, emphasizing the values of teamwork, outdoor skills, and character development throughout the Camporee.

The Daanbantayan Central Elementary School and the District of Daanbantayan I headed by Dr. Eva Arriesgado Casinillo, sincerely thank the Municipality of Daanbantayan through the leadership of Mayor Sun Shimura, unconditionally and immediately approved the request of the SPED Teachers of Daanbantayan Central Elementary School for a free transportation to Dumanjug and going back to Daanbantayan plus the uniform for the Special Needs Education Olympics from Dec 15 to 17, 2023.

This is a remarkable humanitarian act, using the government funds (SEF) in catering the needs of the constituents especially the Learners with Special Educational Needs, giving them opportunities in a broader perspective.

We are so blessed to have a supportive Local Government Unit.

We hope for further interventions to alleviate the learning environment of SPED Centers of Daanbantayan 1 and 2.

We also give special thanks to our PSDS, Dr. Eva Arriesgado Casinillo for your undying support; to all the sponsors and donors who whole-heartedly shared their blessings; to Sir Davie Pareja for facilitating and fast tracking our requests, and to the ever supportive parents of DCES SPED Center.

James Riel Gulfan Takes Home Gold at Central Visayas Regional Athletics Association (CVRAA) Competition

In a stunning display of athleticism, the Central Visayas Regional Athletics Association (CVRAA) held its annual competition from April 24-28, 2023, at Carcar City, Cebu. The event drew top athletes from across the region to compete in a variety of sports, including track and field, swimming, chess, and badminton .

One standout athlete who shone in the competition was James Riel Gulfan, a pupil from Daanbantayan Central Elementary School, who took home 2 gold medals in 400 and 110 meter hurdles. Gulfan's impressive performance in the competition was a testament to his hard work and dedication to his sport.

Gulfan's win was a major source of pride for his school, which has been working hard to develop its athletics program. The young athlete's success is sure to inspire other pupils at Daanbantayan Central School to pursue their own athletic dreams.

The demonstration may also include a discussion of fire safety procedures and tips for preventing fires. Fire drill demonstrations are an effective way to teach learners and school staff how to respond quickly and safely in the event of a fire emergency. By witnessing a demonstration and practicing fire drills regularly, individuals can feel more confident and prepared in the event of a real fire.

Welcome to the Cebu Technological University student teachers who will be doing their practicum in our school for the next three months. We hope that with the assistance of your school mentors, you will be able to gain enough exposure and experience to become competent teachers.

Thank you so much, Malingin National High School, for sending your immersion students to Daanbantayan Central Elementary School for their immersion work for two weeks which ended yesterday, so that they can be exposed to and become familiar with work-related environments relevant to their field of specialization, as well as to improve their competence and confidence in their chosen field.
