To the Honorable Mayor Jennifer Austria-Barzaga, to the Honorable Chair, esteemed colleagues in this Sanggunian, to the hardworking secretary tita Fe, to all the staff, and to everyone here today, good morning.
Before anything, I would like to thank each and every one of you. I am grateful for the opportunity given by our beloved city mayor, and our distinguished representative of the 4th district, to serve since 2018. Back in 2018 I was the representative of the youth--the SK Federation President of the City of Dasmariñas, and I am thankful for serving this City Council back in 2018. Learning the ropes of parliamentary procedure helped me overcome the task was ahead of me back then.
As much as I would have loved to serve the 5th City Council in 2019, I was called to serve the Sangguniang Panlalawigan instead. And I am thankful for that. The years that I spent in the Provincial Capitol enlightened me about innovative ways to do our job efficiently and, if chance would permit, I would like to share these with the Sanggunian as well. But I do understand changes take time. I am an example of that. I acknowledge that I may be different from that neophyte ex officio member back in 2018, but I hope that change was for the better.
Lastly, I would like to share what a wise man once told me; 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳
