YOUTH FORUM 2024: 4H Club member and a recipient Ms. Nerrie Jane Yabanez and Ms. Riza Joy Soliva invited to join the Youth Forum 2024 held at Davao Food Terminal Complex, Daliao, Toril, Davao City. This event aims to bring together 4-H Club leaders and members from different districts of Davao City to share their experiences and inform them about the services, resources, and opportunities available from various local and national agencies that they can access.

This forum capacitate the participants to understand the trend and issues about the agriculture sector, in this way youth could formulate projects and/or programs dedicated to agricultural and livelihood for the four-fold development of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. 🍀

DID YOU KNOW? || In 2016, five agriculture students created SIDLAK, which gained notoriety for aiding local farmers and fishermen. As the group grew, they extended their objective. It is adept not only in mountaineering but also in forging lasting relationships with stakeholders and working towards shared goals to support those in need, instill hope, promote sustainable farming and fishing, and act as knowledge sharing platform.

We SiDLak, is not just your typical wanderer. Our focus areas are awareness and education, waste management, promote sustainable farming and fishing, ethical and sustainable mountaineering.

And we say "NOT ALL WHO WANDER ARE LOST, ABANTE-TIKANG PARA SA KAAYUHAN". 💚

"Hand in Hand Initiative for PWDs and Tree Planting Activity"

December 3, 2023: Unlike to the usual outreach program where participants being gathered to one place. This year anniversary is extra special which SidLak members do extra ordinary effort to visit our PWDs beneficiaries on their own house which we've witness their situation and how they cope up to the "now".

The "Kumustahan" and giving of "Pinaskohan" brings genuine and heartfelt joy to our beneficiaries and gave us gratefulness and teary eyed in returned.

The first activity was the "Tree Planting Activity" and followed by giving of Pinaskohan through house to house visit from Purok 1 to Purok 10, Gumalang. The event was concluded at 6:00PM.

TODAY: With the goal of bringing together the children in the area to help them discuss and address issues and concerns affecting their lives, the "BARANGAY CHILDREN'S CONGRESS" was held by the City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO)-BAGUIO DISTRICT at the Gumalang Gym, and was attended by 160 children residing in the said barangay. It was facilitated by our BARANGAY GUMALANG OFFICIALS with the SIDLAK members.

This exercise will help to identify and address the challenges and concerns that today's kids in Davao City are dealing with.

For 2 years, Bigkis Entertainment Productions halted organizing and producing events due to the pandemic. While everyone is unsure whether we can get through the crisis alive or not, some reggae bands took the opportunity to get strongly bonded with their mates, creatively wrote original songs, and made the virtual space as an official platform to share their music.

Gracing the reggae stage is composed of 46 bands from various parts of Mindanao and some guest artists from the Visayas and Luzon including the reputed reggae performers from Manila, Jeck Pilpil and Peace Pipe — headcount is more than 300 reggae artists.
