Last April 6, 2024, Dumoy National High School represented by Ms. MARIA TERESA B. CARBON, School Head and Ms. RICHELLE LEAH C ARELLANO, appointed SGC Co- Chair and some students attended and witnessed this year's STATE OF THE BRGY ADDRESS during the BRGY ASSEMBLY held at Jose Bastida Elementary School.

Some of the DNHS Dance Sports dancers showed their talents as they were asked to present an intermission.number.

In addition, the said assembly was culminated with a LUNCH as Kap Doc JESSIE MAR Y. CULASTE celebrated his 56th Birthday! HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY, Kap! May God grant you good health, happiness and more years to render service to the residents of Brgy. Dumoy!

Last April 5, 2024, Dumoy National High School celebrated its 13th Founding Anniversary with the theme: " DNHS FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY: A Celebration of Gratitude and Commitment for the Continuous Quality Service to the Learners". The celebration commenced with a THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION celebrated by FR. DINDO PESCOS. The aforesaid mass was attended by the Brgy Council of Dumoy represented by KAG. NERY MARANGA, KAG. JINGGO ADLAWAN, KAG. ERWIN IAN BACLAAN, and KAG. JODESA CABASAN headed by HON. BRGY. CHAIRMAN JESSIE MAR Y. CULASTE. Thank you for gracing this event with your presence.

Moreover, there were also visitors who attended and celebrated the school's successes, one of our stakeholders, the ever supportive and the very generous SOLI DEO GLORIA CHRISTIAN CHURCH represented by BRO. ZALDY SERRANO, the SGC Council headed by MRS. MARY LUZ GEONZON, Elected Co-Chair and Maam Lita, Secretary and the PTA headed by Maam FELY V. REVILLA. Dghan kaayong salamat sa inyong makanunayong suporta sa atong eskwelahan!

To the Principals of the neighboring schools, Engr. RED ELISTERIO, Mr. RAMIL D**A and Mrs. LOURDES HORMILLADA for celebrating with us, thank you very much!

The said mass was followed by a short program highlighting the progress of DUMOY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL from the year 2011- 2024. The morning activity was culminated with a SUMPTOUS LUNCH as we also celebrated the birthday of the APRIL BABIES namely: Kap Doc Jessie Mar Y. Culaste, Maam Tess Carbon, Maam Leag Arellano, Maam Migthy Mawalic and Sir Oliver Lañohan. To the birthday celebrators, Happiest Birthday and May God grant your heart desires!

In the afternoon, a FRIENDSHIP GAME was played by Brgy. Dumoy and DNHS teachers, parents and students. The game was enjoyed by the players as well as the audience! One of the highlights of the day's event! Congratulations to all our PLAYERS!

The day ended with smiles in the faces of everyone who witnessed and attended the said celebration! To the TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP, thank you very much and Job well done!

7 April 2024 - In order to allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects and other requirements, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on Monday, 8 April 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

The above-mentioned lines summarize the main point of the Symposium that was conducted last Friday, March 8, 2024 on Addressing Challenges and Impacts of Drug Abuse and Sexual Abuse to One's Physical and Mental Health.

The said symposium was participated by the Grade 10 and SHS learners of Dumoy National High School. The success of this activity was made possible because of the presence of the personnel.of BALIOK POLICE STATION headed by their Chief Commander, PMAJ JONNEL L. BONGUYAN, represented by PCPL MYLA GAYLE B. IDPAN, PCPL EUVANNE JAINE P. MIRAFUENTES and PCPL PHOEBE KRIS T. ANGCON who seeved as the resource speakers.

The activity started at around 2 PM and ended at 4:45 PM. It was indeed fruitful since the students showed eagerness on the topics shared. They even asked questions during the Q and A part of the program to clarify some of their confusions. Active Participation from the audience was evident. It was undoubtedly successful!

Last January 13, 2024, Dumoy National High School teachers and student-representatives (Grade 12 students, Yes-O members and fhe Boy Scouts) positively responded to the invitation of Brgy. Dumoy LGU to take part in the Coastal Clean-Up Drive. This activity was organized by PEPSI COLA in collaboration with DENR EMB XI and BRGY DUMOY.

This activity supports the government's "Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas Program". This aims to save our oceans for the future generation to use. It encourages everyone to help and get involved.

Last November 28 and 29, 2023, our chosen DNHS Students participated and successfully completed the Cognitive and Skills Evaluation in the STANDARD FIRST AID AND BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING FOR LAY RESCUERS conducted by the CDRRMO-911 EMS Training Team held at Brgy Dumoy Function Hall.

This activity provided the participants a lot of learnings about the importance of saving one's life. As one participant said " I can now help in providing the necessary first aid if ever any of my classmates needed it." He added, " Lisod ug kapoy ang training pero sulit."

The Certificates of Participation were awarded yesterday, January 10, 2023 at Dumoy National High School by Ms. Maria Teresa B.Carbon, the school head.

December is not JUST a month to celebrate with food and expensive gifts, it is also about being together and enjoying one's blessings with friends, colleagues and family.

Dumoy National High School proudly shares the activities that were done last December.

1. CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL 2023

December 13, 2023, the DNHS students were exuberant as they showcased their talents during the school's CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL 2023. There were LITERARY ,MUSICAL and ART activities that were presented and enjoyed by the students. The literary events were as follows: Choral Reading, Oratorical Contest, Declamation Contest and Storytelling Contest. For the Musical events, Song Solo, Song Duet anf Choral Singing Contests. Lastly, for the Arts events, Poster Making Contest and the Giant Parol Contest.

The Grade 10 Curriculum was hailed as this year's CHAMPION. Congratulations everyone for a job well done!

2. TEACHERS' GAD ACTIVITY 2023

Last December 8, 2023, the teachers gathered at JARDIN DEL ROCA at Eden, Bayabas, Davao City to celebrate togetherness regardless of gender. The serenity of the place and the weather made the activity more meaningful and fruitful.

The aforesaid activity started with 2 sessions namely: "Cultivating Positive Mindset in the Workplace and Fostering Mental Health" by Ms.Hasmin Macatabang and Ms. Richelle Leah Arellano as the speakers.

The sessions were follwed by a short group sharing and presentation of outputs. A sumptuous lunch was served to end the morning's activity.

In the afternoon, the teachers had their Christmas Get-Together where parlor games and musical contests were done. Simple prizes for the winners were awarded. The day ended with smiles in each teacher's faces. Everyone went home bringing the lessons and realizations that they learned from the sessions and a happy feeling after enjoying together all the activities.

Dumoy National High School together with some Cluster 3 schools headed by our ever supportive Cluster 3 Head, DR. FORTUNATO B. SAGAYNO is ONE with the 47, 678 public schools nationwide who participated in the realization of DepEd's project " DepEd's 236,000 Trees- A Christmas Gift for the Children."

DNHS teachers and some students represented by our active Boys Scouts and SSLG Officers headed by our school head, MS. MARIA TERESA B. CARBON, went to ALI-DAVAO CARBON FOREST located in Dumoy, Davao City to take part in the nationwide simultaneous tree planting activity on December 6, 2023 at 7:30 AM, in response to DepEd Memorandum No. 069, s. 2023.

This project as DepEd said will serve as a GIFT from the agency to ensure a CLEAR AND GREEN ENVIRONMENT for FILIPINO CHILDREN and the FUTURE GENERATIONS.

The agency emphasized in the interview done by Manila Bulletin that "this project provides a hands-on learning and practical applications to the environmental concepts taught".

Moreover, this activity gives the teachers and students the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding on the environmental issues and build a strong sense of responsibility towards conserving and preserving God's-given nature.

The tree planting activity was successfully done! 👏👏👏👏👏

The success was made possible with the help and assistance of the Brgy Council of Dumoy headed by the ever dynamic and supportive Brgy. Chairman, Kap Doc JESSIEMAR Y. Dumoy National High School has successfully launched Brigada Eskwela 2023 with its theme "Brigada Para sa MATATAG na Paaralan".

The activity started with a RECORIDA participated by the faculty members of Dumoy NHS headed by Ms. MARIA TERESA B. CARBON, the Brgy Council of Dumoy headed by KAP DOC JESSIE MAR Y. CULASTE, the SK of Brgy Dumoy headed by SK Chairman ARTEM JOHN MAYNARD Q. MANDALUPE, Baliok Police Station headed by PMAJ MAPANAO, JR., the SGC Council headed by MRS. MARY LIZ GEONZON, the GPTA headed by MRS. FELY V. REVILLA, the BRGY TANOD/POLICE, the members of DAFARTODA, SSLG Officers, parents and students.

After the RECORIDA, a short program was done. Commitment speeches were delivered by our PARTNERS- SK Chairman Artem John Manadalupe, PLT Artalia of Baliok Police Station, KAG Cabatbat and KAG Baclaan of Brgy Council of Dumoy, SGC Chairperson Mrs. Mary Luz Geonzon and SSLG President Wendell Juanite. All of them promised to help and provide assistance to the school- PARA SA BATA. After which, Ms. MARIA TERESA B. CARBON, the School Head, thanked everyone for their presence and participation for this year's BE. She then officially declared the Opening of BE '23.

To end the Kick-Off Program, the teachers of Dumoy NHS showed their GENEROSITY by giving something that their students can use during the start of the classes. There were different items that were given away to those who attended the Kick-Off Program. The Filipino and English teachers gave Reading books. THE TLE and MAPEH teachers gave free vegetables. The Aral Pan and ESP teachers distributed handy/small globes, maps and papers. The Science and Math teachers gave Math and Science- Related Information Sheets. The SHS Curriculum gave school supplies like pens and correction tapes.

In order to get ready for the incoming academic year 2023–2024, Dumoy National High School opens its Early Registration last May 10 and will be closed on June 9, 2023.

The Basic Education Early Registration Forms are readily available in the school. These must be filled out by Grade 7 and 11 students and their parents in order to get ready for the incoming school year.

What a FUN-FILLED and COLORFUL Day!

Dumoy NHS celebrated its 4th Founding Anniversary last APRIL 15, 2023, Saturday

The celebration revolves mainly on this year's theme: "A Celebration of Family, A Celebration of Success".

The program and the events highlighted the significant roles and contributions of FAMILIES, STAKEHOLDERS and the COMMUNITY LEADERS in molding productive and responsible citizens of the country. A famous African Proverb states that "It takes a VILLAGE/COMMUNITY to EDUCATE a CHILD." This mantra was the inspiration used by the school for this year's celebration.

The celebration started with a CAMPUS PARADE in which students wore their colorful costumes and accessories as they proudly roamed around the street near the school. And to make the parade festive, the drum and lyre corp played lively songs.

The program formally began. Varied dance performances were presented by the Selected High School Students. A Zumba Exercise was participated by all the attendees led by our very own Zumba Instructor, Ms. Manelyn Layson together with the MAPEH Teachers headed by Ms. RICHELLE LEAH ARELLANO, the Department Head.

Aside from the above-mentioned presentations, there were several main higlights of the said celebration. ONE of which is the message from the Education Committee Chairperson, KAGAWAD ARLENE D. ADLAWAN, where she emphasized the importance of education to the children. She also congratulated the parents and the teachers for a job well done.

SECOND was the FIELD DEMONSTRATION COMPETTION wherein students presented their creative versions of the GALAW PILIPINAS. It turned out that the GRADE 7 STUDENTS, who called themselves as the GREEN VIPERS, were proclaimed to be the CHAMPION. 1st Runners-Up was the Grade 10 Curriculum- the BLUE AVATAR; 2nd Runners-Up was the Grade 12 Curriculum, the MAJESTIC LAMMERGEIER; 3rd Runners-Up was the Grade 11 Curriculum- the FEARLESS WARRIORS; 4th Runners-Up was the Grade 9 Curriculum- The RED PHOENIX; and the 5th Runners-Up was the Grade 8 Curriculum- the YELLOW STINGERS. Congratulations High School Students for a CREATIVE performance!

THIRD was the EXHIBITION BASKETBALL GAME played between BRGY DUMOY LGU headed by HON. JESSIE MAR Y. CULASTE, our BRGY CHAIRMAN, and the Dumoy NHS PARENTS and TEACHERS. It ended that both teams got the same score of 88-88. That was indeed an exciting game since both teams played so well.👏👏👏👏👏

FOURTH was the simple birthday celebration of the father of Dumoy, KAP DOC JESSIE MAR Y. CULASTE. The whole school community rendered a birthday song while he was blowing the candle. HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY, KAP DOC! You are truly a God-sent instrument to the school and to the community. 🎂🍷

FIFTH was the Spiritual Nourishment session facilitated by one of the active stakeholders of the school, SOLI DEO GLORIA CHRISTIAN CHURCH represented by Bro. Serrano and Bro dela Merced. Thank you very much for your endless support to the school. You are God's gift to Dumoy NHS.

SIXTH was the FELLOWSHIP Lunch. Parents, Guardians and Students enjoyed as they eat the foods they bring together. This was one of the manifestations of the true essence of a FAMILY!

LASTLY was the CORONATION OF THE CAMPUS KING AND QUEEN 2023 and the PROCLAMATION OF Winners(Please see attached list of winners.) Congratulations to all our winners and to the ever supportive parents! Special recognition to our newly crowned Campus King 2023, DOMINIC JOEL CONSULTA (Grade 8) and our Campus Queen 2023, CLOUDETH MAE ADARO(Grade 9)!👏👏👏👏👏
