It’s but natural that everyone wants to look and feel young. I guess it is part of our human nature to want back what we’ve lost and to relive the fantastic memories of our youth of the way we were. As we age, we all get self-conscious as some of our cells, muscles and nerves start to lose function and die. From anti-aging creams to Dr. Vicky Belo’s expensive versatile treatment options, the fight against aging is, indeed, a profitable industry and is still getting bigger with time.
Beauty entrepreneur Golda Divinagracia was a former bank employee of the Far East Bank and Trust Company where she learned from the business data that the beauty industry in the country thrives even in the most challenging of times in the Philippine economy. So this vavavoom enterprising entrepreneur invested her savings in putting up Bloom Facial & Slimming Spa in December 10, 2004. The fashionable and well-maintained Golda with her blond locks could easily pass for a titillating film star and is the best promo girl for her business.
“When I started the business two decades ago, I was doing quite well as there were very few competitions. But over time, the business competition has become cutthroat. So many players joined the fray plus the business tempo was leaning more towards price point rather than quality. It has become frustrating and challenging for me because I am a stickler for excellence in quality. But nothing truly prepared me when the Covid pandemic hit us. That was a truly terrifying period as the future looked so unfavorable and uncertain. Luckily, my 10-year bank and finance exposure helped me recalibrate my finances to keep Bloom operating for business and keep it afloat until things got back to normal. Yes, I am determined and disciplined in my role as an employer and as a businesswoman.,” revealed Golda with her long faux eyelashes fluttering.
Golda has gone a long way in operating three Bloom branches located in Lanang, Roxas Avenue and Torres Street. “Bloom Aesthetic Salon & Spa is a one-stop-shop for all professional salon and spa services. We cater to our clients’ skin, face, body, hair, scalp and nail needs. Our medical aesthetics offers non-surgical services such as Beauty Drips, Botox and Dermal Fillers, Thread Lifts, among others. Our resident aesthetics doctor is Dr. Toby Lantin. I also have my business partners namely lawyer Lynette Ong and Kathy Hao-Basa for our Japanese skin care products with the brand name, Kisekin. I am foreseeing that our beauty products will be very promising and lucrative. We are planning to promote these beauty products nationwide. And hopefully, worldwide as well.”
