TURNOVER OF PERIMETER FENCE TO DAVAO DEL SUR PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL

DSPH is happy to announce that the safety of our patients and employees are in good hands and thanks to the unwavering support of our Provincial Governor, Governor Yvonne Roña Cagas and Board Member Dr. Frank Tongcos, who spearheaded the turnover ceremony, we are glad that the long awaited construction of our perimeter fence is finally a reality.

Thanks to this project the safety and security of our patients will always be the highest priority.

PEDIA DAY

In celebration of our Medicine Week, DSPH conducted lecture for our Barangay Health Workers , a lecture was about Dengue and Vaccination aside from EPI. With the help of our very own Davao del Sur Association of Pediatric Practitioners.

DSPH encourages each and everyone to please join us in our upcoming activities:

1.) PEDIA DAY, this coming September 26, 2023 which will be held at DSPH OPD .

2.) WOMEN AND MATERNAL HEALTH, this coming September 27, 2023 a Lecture will be held for Parental Care and Family Planning which will also be held at DSPH OPD.

3.) SENIOR CITIZENS DAY, on September 29, 2023 which will be held on San Isidro Parish, we will be giving Free Pneumonia Vaccine and Free Medical Consultations.

In the upcoming celebration of DSPH's 56th founding anniversary the hospital had a blood letting activity with the theme "Give blood, save life"
With this simple act of kindness we are helping those patients who are in need of blood. We are thankful for the people who joined us celebrate this successful event and we are grateful for everyone for their generosity. May God bless us all

Dreams to reality is what we describe this success. A project and site inspection, supervision and monitoring was conducted last November 25, 2022, in Digos City, Davao del Sur for the proposed Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital (DSPH) Isolation Facility and finally becoming a reality thanks to DOH-DCHD Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) represented by Engineer II Honiedel Taotao, Engineer II Marie Yvelle Mejos and Architect II Bonie Loraine Lagumbay , accompanied by DOH-DCHD Regional Director Dr. Annabelle P. Yumang, our very own Davao del Sur Provincial Health Officer Dr. Jonna Masongsong and DSPH Chief of Hospital Dr. Jaime Razo, World Bank Inspectors led by Sr. Social Development Specialist Mr. Fajar Djati, Royal Summit Infinity Development Corporation President Mr. Wilfredo Bartolay and representatives of the DOH Philippines Covid-19 Emergency Response Project (PCERP) and Provincial Health Office - Davao del Sur. Ang DSPH nagpahigayon ug kalihokan alang sa KMC alang sa tanang inahan ug amahan ug bag-ong nahimugso nga mga masuso nga makatabang sa unang mga bulan sa pag-atiman sa mga bata, ang kalihokan gipahigayon sa DSPH lobby ug ang guest speaker, si Dr. Maria Clariza Cronado, naghisgot bahin sa importansya sa KMC . Ang nag-unang katuyoan sa KMC mao ang pagtubag sa biolohikal nga mga panginahanglan sa mga masuso alang sa kainit, nutrisyon, ug gugma, ug kini gibalikbalik nga gipakita sa pagkunhod sa mortalidad, pagpalambo sa pagpasuso, ug pagkunhod sa risgo sa mga sakit. Makatabang kini sa bag-ong mga ginikanan nga makaamgo sa mga panginahanglan sa ilang mga bag-ong natawo.

LOOK | The DSPH has conducted a Blood Letting activity in coordination with the Davao Del Sur Provincial Government. Themed: “Give Blood, Save life”. The activity is conducted in remembrance to our late Former Governor. Douglas “Dodo” R.A Cagas. It started around 6:00 AM and ended approximately on 11:00 AM. The activity found success dye to the great influx of people willing to donate their blood.

Another busy day, another full-pack facility for our healthcare employees attending to the needs of our patients. Unexpected turnout, as seen in the photos, the facility was over capacity but still being catered to by our ER team, making sure that we do our best to serve.

As of November 27, 2022 the official count of service and recordings of patients catered at ER are the following:

7 patients received check ups
6 pregnant women also received check ups
7 babies received check ups
21 patients underwent surgeries

Today is still unaccounted for due to the large number of patients that we can accommodate. We will keep you updated for latest insights and news.

The technical Group of the Provincial Health Office conducted two days seminar on the "Lactation and Management Program" for DSPH personnel and healthcare workers to motivate and teach them how to engage the patients, especially expectant mothers and postpartum patients.

Another day in serving and caring for the patient's needs. Because we are true to our vision and mission, we are determined to continue our services for the people of Davao del Sur.

Today's official count of service and recordings of patients:
28 patients received check ups from Family Planning and OB GYNE section
10 infants and toddlers received check ups from Pediatric Section
39 patients received check ups and were prescribed with medicines by the attending doctor from Medicine Section.
21 patients received check ups and underwent surgeries from Surgery Section and 3 of the patients underwent minor surgery
88 patients were cared for by our Animal Bite Center

Last Friday, November 11, 2022, DSPH held a fire drill in collaboration with the Digos City Bureau of Fire Protection, a guest speaker from BFP, FO2 Warpelito Ando, RN, FO2 Marion Kirk Patrick Melendez, RN, and FO2 Ava Lenora Gomez, RN. The activity began with a lecture focusing on dangers, how to prevent fire, and what to do in the event of a fire—ending with a fire drill.
