How to use a sensory writing tray to work on letter formation, including the motor plan to correctly form letters (top-to-bottom). May times, you see a great writing tray set up, but the kiddos actually form the letters incorrectly and develop the muscle memory for making the letters the "wrong" way. Other times, you see kids drawing letters in a sand tray or rice tray with a paint brush and holding the utensil totally ineffectively.
