First, it's critical to remember that young children have short attention spans. This is very important to note because oftentimes we're expecting children to play with a toy or sit for circle time for far longer than what's developmentally appropriate.
With that being said, there are everyday experiences that can either support evolving attention spans, or reduce the growth.
What number do you think has the greatest impact on attention span?
Anything else you'd add to the list?

We live in a society that measures success with being first or ahead of everyone else.
The baby that walks at 9 months is clearly ahead of the game and thriving.
The baby that skips milestones is too good to need to meet those milestones.
Unfortunately, as a society, we’re missing the signals these babies are giving us.
Signals that the brain is disorganized and is in need of something, those “advanced” milestones are a way of communicating that.
We need more professionals to understand this miscommunication between the brain and body and look deeper.
Every child and adult can benefit from brain organization activities like crawling, because so much good comes from taking it back to the basics and crossing these movements from infancy off the list.
So if you’re ready for a simple program to follow that outlines daily activities to complete in 5 minutes- comment: CRAWL to preorder the book!
Thank you very much, DepEd Tayo - Linay Central School . We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity! We truly appreciate the warm welcome and open-hearted smiles!
See you all again very soon! May God continue to bless you more!
