The DAR Provincial SPLIT Project Management Office is hiring three (3)
Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) Support Staff for Negros Oriental.
RATE PER MONTH: Php 24,000.00
Deadline of Applications: August 7, 2023 (Monday)
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be holder of Bachelor's Degree in social sciences, development studies, environmental studies, natural resource management, and related fields;
-At least 1 year experience as environmental, social, management, risk assessment of rural development projects;
-At least 1 year experience in preparation of documents, reports, and environmental and technical training proposals;
-With good oral and written communication skills, analytical skills with keen sense to details, good organizational, networking and interpersonal skills;
-Excellent computer skills, i.e. MS Word, Excel Spreadsheet, PPT, etc;
-Previous engagement with any project Bank financing is an advantage; and
-Has attended at least 30hrs of training on environment and social safeguards and other related social and environmental planning and management.
SCOPE OF WORK:
a. Reports directly to the Provincial ESS Coordinator;
b. Assists in the preparation of Comprehensive Action Plan on the Environmental and Social Safeguard Measures at the Provincial Level;
c. Assists in the conduct of orientation and training activities for men and women ARBs, field implementers and government agency partners and other stakeholders;
d. Assists in the implementation of safeguard policies, principles and procedures at all levels of project operation in coordination with the Provincial ESS Coordinator and Regional ESS Specialist;
e. Assists the ESS Documenters of the Field Validation Team in the conduct of environmental and social screening at project sites;
f. Assists the Regional ESS Specialist in the cascading and implementation of the Indigenous Peoples Policy Framework (IPPF) and Resettlement Policy Framework in the provincial level;
g. Assists in the coordination with partner agencies the conduct of project activities to ensure successful safeguards implementation;
h. Ensures the accurate and timely submission of regular progress reports;
i. Monitors status of profiling by the FVTs and ensure accurate and timely submission of the ESMF forms to the KOBO Toolbox System;
j. Provide assistance to the Chief of the Legal Division in the implementation of Grievance Redress Mechanism
k. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
