During the meeting, highlights on hypertension were discussed to convey specific information, knowledge, complex ideas, and theories on the matter.

Sila lang ang merong ABTC at tumatanggap sila ng animal bite patients galing sa karatig Lungsod (from Opol-Gitagum). Ultrasound? X-Ray? Birthing? Meron din sila nyan.

In full support of Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS ) and Population Census caravan, City Lying-In and Medical Clinic participated the said event held at Barangay Molugan on July 15, 2023. LIMC staff namely Frances Julia Macapayag, Amil Ilar, Waldrich Canios and Dr Jeffrey Acenas together with CHO staff assisted by some Nursing Students of Liceo de Cagayan University performed free circumcision (TULI) to around 40 young boys in preparation to their journey to manhood. As customary, circumcision is performed to young boys and it has various benefits like easier hygiene and lowering risk for UTI and other infection.

The Department of Health advises the public against a circulating Facebook post claiming that consuming fish poses a risk for HIV infection due to improper waste disposal of HIV-infected tubes from hospitals. The post alleges that there is an escalating death toll in various cities due to the consumption of contaminated fish.

HIV is primarily transmitted through specific bodily fluids, including blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. The most common modes of HIV transmission include unprotected sexual in*******se, sharing contaminated needles or syringes, and transmission from an HIV-positive mother to her child during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding.

Based on the latest data, there have only been 2 recorded HIV/AIDS-related deaths in the entire region for the month of April 2024.

The DOH urges the public to rely on information from reputable and authoritative sources such as the Department of Health as misinformation can create unnecessary panic and fear.
