The equinox is the time when day and night are almost equal in length. It comes from the Latin words "๐ฎ๐ฒ๐พ๐๐๐" (๐๐ฆ๐ช๐๐ก) and "๐ป๐ผ๐
" (๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฉ). The "๐ป๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐" ๐ฒ๐พ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ป๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ are due to refraction of sunlight, or the bending of light rays that causes the sun to appear above the horizon even though its actual position is below.
๐ ๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐พ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ผ๐
?
This happens because the earth is tilted 23.5 degrees as it revolves around the sun. When the sun is in the middle of the equator, the Northern and Southern Hemispheres receive the same amount of light, so the time of day and night are equal. At higher latitudes (further from the equator), daylight hours are longer because sunrise and sunset take longer. During the equinox, the length of the day varies from 12 hours and 6.5 minutes at the equator, 12 hours and 8 minutes at 30 degrees latitude, and 12 hours and 16 minutes at 60 degrees latitude.

On ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐๐ข๐๐๐ง ๐ฎ๐ตโ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ, Earth will have its own โ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ฃโ for two months!
This phenomenon involves an asteroid named ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ ๐๐๐ฑ, which was identified by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on August 7, 2024. Originating from the Arjuna asteroid belt, it is expected to return there after leaving Earthโs orbit on ๐๐ค๐ซ๐๐ข๐๐๐ง ๐ฎ๐ฑโ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ.
This often referred to as a โ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ฃโ which will orbit our planet. However, it measures only ๐ฏ๐ฏ ๐๐๐๐ฉ (10 meters) across, making it nearly impossible to view with the naked eye.
Earth is capable of capturing asteroids from the Near-Earth object (NEO) category and pulling them into temporary orbits, resulting in these mini-moons.

SEPTEMBER IS SU***DE PREVENTION AND AWARENESS MONTH !!
" Su***de is a permanent solution to temporary problems " - Robin Williams
This is the time to raise awareness, break the long term stigma, and open our hearts to the people, love ones, and friends that are suffering in silence. This is not the time to be silent!
May this month reminds us of the importance of compassion, understanding, and connecting with everyone. Each life is precious, and by sharing our stories, offering support, and simply being present, we can create a world where hope prevails.
This month is a call to reach out, to check in on loved ones, to help and protect them and to spread the message that no one has to face their darkest moments alone. Together, we can light the way toward healing and hope.
