Our Founder, Certified Organic Farmer, Chocolate Maker, and Owner of Atbang Farm®️ Ms Efrenia C Holt, was given the opportunity to share her knowledge of the JADAM Ultra Low Cost organic farming technology to the students of the Conservation Agriculture with Trees Learning Site owned by Dr Agustin Mercado, Jr. located in Rizal and Poblacion, Claveria, Misamis Oriental. Ms Holt is looking forward to see some transformations of the crops grown in this learning site soon as well as their students journey in organic agriculture. Healthy plants are the proof of how effective your farm inputs and technology applied in the farm. The best fertiliser is the plant itself! Grateful.

Gratitude to Bohol Participatory Guarantee System Association (BPGSA), Department of Agriculture Region 7, National Organic Agriculture Program (NOAP) and Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS) for the privilege to showcase our Atbang Fine Chocolate products during the Regional Organic Agriculture Congress held at Sarrosa International Hotel, Cebu City, August 7-8, 2024. Here we have a “limited batch of tree-to-bar dark fine chocolates” made from our own organic certified fermented dried cacao beans, produced during the El Niño months at Atbang Farm - Food Forest. Si Efrania "Neng" Holt, ng Atbang Farms, ay isang Boholana mula sa United Kingdom, na pinili ang payak na pamumuhay sa agrikultura. Minana ni Neng ang Atbang Farms mula sa kanyang ina at nagdesisyon na iwan ang kanyang trabaho sa UK, para maging tagapamahala ng kanilang farm na matatagpuan sa Calape, Bohol.
Kung tatanungin si Neng, hindi dapat mababa ang pagtingin sa trabaho sa agriklutura at pagsasaka. Isa si Neng sa mga nagpapatunay na hindi pa huli para sa isang "career-change" lalo na sa larangan ng agrikltura.

Our Journey
In 2004, Atbang Farm started as fulfilled wish. Through the years, it has evolved into dreaming of showcasing the best of the Boholanos to the world: starting with our Cacao beans. A permaculture-inspired farm located in Calape, Bohol, it puts importance on caring and respecting nature.
Inspired by local passionate chocolatiers, Atbang Farm ventured into Cacao propagation and production in 2016. The team continues to learn and collaborate with like-minded individuals and institutions, providing high-quality and naturally grown Cacao beans proudly sourced from Bohol, home of the world-wonder Chocolate Hills.
As Atbang Farm grows, it continues to provide consistent livelihood for a better quality of life for local farmers and their families. Encouraging the young to return to the land, the farm hopes to inspire the next generation to see the potential of living a meaningful life through a future homestay experience.
