Frogs particularly the males produce a variety of sounds during courtship rituals. These calls are unique from each individual in terms of frequencies, duration and other parameters. Females used these calls to choose a suitable male among the callers.
You can help in the conservation of frogs by sending to us a recorded call with details and your information.
Limnonectes leytensis or the Small-disked Frog or Swamp Frog under Family Dicroglossidae is a Philippine endemic species. It is found in forest and urban areas. It inhabits canals and other waterways and swampy lands. In Iligan City, it was observed in Barangays Buruun, Del Carmen, Hinaplanon, Mahayahay, Palao, Pugaan, Rogongon, Suarez and Tubod.
