For many Filipino artists, February goes beyond just the Heart’s Month.

“A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY AS ILIGAN ARTS FESTIVAL MONTH”, authored by Councilor Nhicolle Capangpangan, was approved during the Regular Session Held on February 9, 2021 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

This 2021, National Arts Month, also called Ani ng Sining, plays with the theme “Alab-sining, Alay-sigla,” which aims to provide opportunities for artists to harness their creative energies in uplifting the nation’s spirit, especially during this time of public health crisis.

The resolution was made upon the combined efforts of Iligan Visual Artists - IVA through the Batan-ong Iliganon Local Youth Development Council.

Yesterday at Robinsons Iligan with the aspiring young and adult artists attending Galing Sining Workshop headed by sir Aladin Ali and Maxtein Batch '97 as part of the event “𝑰𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒕 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍: 𝑨𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎 2.”

Iliganons here are the displayed artworks of our local artists from Iligan Visual Artists (IVA) for the 𝙄𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 : "𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙩 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢 2" inline to the celebration of National Arts Month 2023. This event will be held this February 6 - 10, 2023 at ground floor Level 1, Atrium, Robinsons Iligan.

We are proud to present the 22 artwork entries of our participating artists in each category for the “𝑰𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒕 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍: 𝑨𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎 2” Painting Contest 2023 with the theme "𝑨𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆" held last February 8, 2023 at Robinsons Iligan.

Look: A new portrait of Lapulapu was painted by one of our IVA artists member Chrismark Gascon( C-mark Gascon ) along the celebration of the quincentennial anniversary of the Battle of Mactan in the Philippines.

This oil painting is one of the entry artworks to be display in the upcoming art exhibit of Iligan Visual Artists (IVA) this March 2021.
