Sugilanon
🌈✨ 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 🌟💪 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧 is a Bisaya term that means "story". At AKMK, we believe in the power of storytelling, in giving a platform to the meaningful stories of diversity, inclusivity, and equality. Watch the sugilanon of Jarol from Kolambugan with their meaningful story of resilience, acceptance, and inclusion. A sugilanon that makes us believe that despite the intersectional struggles, the common air we breathe is the equal recognition and acceptance of one's human needs in society. Nothing is more important for us than making our individual human experience visible. #SugilanonNatoNi #HumanRights4All

The LGBTQI Arts Camp is a celebration of the artworks of LGBTQI from Sultan Kudarat, Lanao del Norte, Iligan City, and Zamboanga Peninsula. These artworks are outputs of the ArtVocacy activities launched in the past months. The camp will exhibit the artworks of the LGBTQI highlighting their stories, narratives, and advocacies. 𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚? Yes. The art camp will include a training workshop on media and digital advocacy. The workshops aim to empower participants with the skills to advocate for their rights in the fast-evolving landscape of digital communication. This will capacitate the LGBT people on their knowledge and skills in Media and Digital Advocacy because we believe that in the information and digital era, the strategic use of mass media and technology is essential to raise awareness and push for change. #𝘓𝘎𝘉𝘛𝘘𝘐𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳: 𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘪-𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 #𝘓𝘎𝘉𝘛𝘘𝘐𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘴𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱 #𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢&𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘺 This activity is supported by Voice.

The conflict and violence that took place in Marawi 6 years ago have greatly affected the human security of the people in Lanao. The pursuit of peace is taking a long process and the Marawi team believes that youth participation in peace processes is as essential as the inclusion of every other sector in the community. The Marawi team's second cycle project initiative under HSC-AKMK's Inclusive Leadership Trajectory Program known as the Grassroot Peace Fellowship (GPF) is an initiative that aims to provide space for young peacebuilders in Lanao del Sur to create a meaningful engagement and tool for capacity building and peace advocacy. The initiative aimed to develop a Peace Module --- Kapagisaisa Okit ko Kalilintad or Solidarity towards Peace --- that will serve as a learning and training material for capacitating young peacebuilders and advocates. The initiative is important as it benchmarks the production of resources that young individuals could utilize in their peace advocacy and participation in peace processes with a particular focus on the approaches to peace and strategies to conflict transformation. The AKMK together with the Human Security Collective recognizes efforts like the Marawi team's initiative is fundamental in promoting and achieving peace and security in the community. The four-year journey of the team has been fruitful and we hope that the next generation benefit from their output. The Marawi team is grateful for the meani

Their project, 'BUNGKAS', is an intergenerational dialogue to mitigate the effects of climate change and ensure food security in the Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC) through sustainable and organic farming practices. The project promotes the use of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs), rediscovered through the dialogue, and aims to open the minds of the youth to practice them. The project initiative of Team Maguindanao is crucial as a lens in climate action and climate adaptation as it is deeply rooted in the identity, knowledge, and practices of the indigenous community. The AKMK together with the Human Security Collective honors the dedication and hard work of the Maguindanao as our partner in fostering climate action and promoting IKSP. In the four-year journey with the Inclusive Leadership Trajectory Program, the Maguindanao team showed great effort in advocating for indigenous-based action against climate change. #AKMKHSCMaguindanao #InclusiveLeadershipProgram #FoRB3 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘣𝘺 Mensen met een Missie , Human Security Collective, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴. 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗱𝘁𝗮𝗱 One of the crucial components of building peace is bridging gaps among people, and the SND team drew from this the inspiration of their second cycle project Sining Kalilintad - Engaging Moro and Christian Youth through Theater Arts under the Inclusive Leadership Trajectory Program. The Sining Kalilintad project of SND team offered a platform for Moro and Christian Youth to express themselves and their understanding of peace with others through the artistic and creative means of a theater play. Through the engagement, the youth were given space to tackle issues faced by their community and translate their thoughts and ideas into theater arts. This form of expression is significant in allowing the interpretation of views and understanding of youth's perspective on peace and collective efforts towards achieving peace and progress in the community. The four-year journey of the SND team has been fruitful and the AKMK together with the Human Security Collective celebrates the sustained dedication and commitment of the team through the Inclusive leadership trajectory program in SND. #AKMKHSCSND #InclusiveLeadershipProgram #FoRB3 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘣𝘺 Mensen met een Missie , Human Security Collective , 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴. As a diverse community, inclusiveness and harmony among people are fundamental to achieving a peaceful and progressive city. The HSC-AKMK Iligan Team aimed at sustaining this peaceful relationship of the tri-people of Iligan and using it as inspiration for their second cycle project under the Inclusive Leadership Trajectory. Their project called Mend a Bond: Promotion of Interfaith Dialogue and Space through Visual Art and Digital Arts was launched to foster an artistic and creative avenue to express and create a space for the tri-people youth to promote a genuine understanding of each other's religion, culture, and identities. Throughout their initiative, the lligan team has reached out to young individuals from different religious and cultural backgrounds to promote interfaith dialogues through visual and digital arts. The team organized workshops and exhibits and partnered with visual arts groups to bring the fruits of the initiative to a wider audience. The AKMK together with the Human Security Collective is elated to share the outcomes of the Iligan Team's initiative and to appreciate the four years of dedication and work being part of the Inclusive Leader Trajectory Program. #AKMKHSCIligan #InclusiveLeadershipProgram #FoRB3 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘣𝘺 Mensen met een Missie , Human Security Collective , 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭

Workshop on Inclusive Leadership for Tri-People Youth
The Human Security Collective (HSC) in partnership with Alyansa ng Kabataang Mindanao para sa Kapayapaan (AKMK) launched an Inclusive Leadership Youth Workshop that directly involved grassroots youth leaders from the three target communities in Mindanao. The youth engaged with different series of blended sessions and collective works to develop their knowledge and skills on human security, nonviolent communication, active listening, deep democracy and Freedom of Religious Belief. The project also aims to build vision of the youth on the role of religion in communities and coexistence, how to understand and apply the principles of freedom of religion, religious narratives, violent extremism and its prevention. This program falls under Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB) program in Mindanao, Philippines, which aims to engage the grassroot communities through promoting religious tolerance in transitional communities by reducing prejudices and facilitating dialogue between and within religious groups. #BuildPeaceNow #TripeopleYouth4Peace
