MAJOR RUSTICO Y JERUSALEM (RESERVE) PHILIPPINE ARMY is a Teacher and a Nurse by profession. He is currently an Education Program Supervisor of the Department of Education, Division of Iligan City. Having completed his Master’s Degree in Education, he continued his childhood dream to become a soldier and serve the Filipino people. He was commissioned in the Reserve Force with a rank of MAJOR ` under Group III (Licensed Professionals) in accordance with Circular 4 GHQ, AFP and RA 7077 (Reservist Act of 1991) and based on GO 31, DND, GHQ AFP dated 08 January 2014.

MAJ JERUSALEM was then assigned as a Deputy Battalion Commander of 1002nd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, 1002 Community Defense Center, 10th Regional Community Defense Group located at Camp General Climaco Pintoy, Suarez, Iligan City, the same battalion that was Called to Active Duty (CAD) during the Marawi Siege.

After several years of service his dedication to the Reserve Force was acknowledge when he was awarded several Military Commendation Medal and Civilian Awards of recognition from LGU and private entities. Effective 01 May 2018 MAJ JERUSALEM was designated as the Battalion Commander of 1002nd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion.

From then on MAJ JERUSALEM steered 1002nd RRIBN as base for expansion of the regular force. He recommended some of the reservist officer and enlisted personnel for training, schooling and CADTT. With the administration of the 1002nd Community Defense Center MAJ JERUSALEM is instrumental in the conduct of different trainings like Disaster Emergency Assistance Relief and Rescue Training, Squad and Platoon Sustainment and many others.

As COVID-19 pandemic threatens every individual, the 1002nd RRBIn headed by MAJ JERUSALEM have been augmented by the Joint Task Force Kamagong of 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade upon request of the Local Government of Iligan City to take charge in the distribution of essential goods to 44 Barangays of Iligan City from March, 2020 up to present and to maintain minimum health standard protocol during the distribution of Social Amelioration Program.
