Ito ang mga katagang iniwan ni Senator Risa Hontiveros, chairperson ng Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, sa kaniyang pagdalo sa โIn Ko Di?: Creating Inclusive Universities," na ginanap sa West Visayas State University (WVSU) Cultural Center, Setyembre 8.
[...] Tulad ng mga bituin ng inyong mga 'cellphone' kanina noong pumasok ako, that better future is possibleโwhere each of our existence is accepted and embraced unconditionally," saad ni Hontiveros sa kaniyang keynote speech.
"[IPs] should be given platforms and spaces to show and wear their identities. [...] Our Indigenous community need us," ani ni Ramirez.

As the pressure mounts for aspiring Augustinian lawyers taking the Bar Examination tomorrow, the University of San Agustin-College of Law (USA-COL) offered solace and support through a Eucharistic Mass organized by the USA Bar Operations, at the USA Adoration Chapel, September 7.
Bar takers, along with their families, fellow students, faculty, and staff, gathered to attend the mass, praying for the success of the examinees.
โAs you take the exam, remember God has chosen you to [be] an instrument of justice and mercy [...]. Trust in God who opened the ears of the deaf and made the mute speak to guide you. [...] Do not fear, and go forward with faith and believe that God is with you every step of the way,โ said Rev. Fr. Jessie Tabobo, O.S.A., who presided over the mass with co-celebrant Rev. Fr. Victor Emmanuel Pendon, Procurator of Saint Vincent Ferrer Seminary, Archdiocese of Jaro.
Moreover, Atty. Jose Mari Benjamin Francisco U. Tirol, Dean of the COL, mentioned that Rev. Fr. Tabobo is the first Augustinian Civil Law Attorney of the Order of Saint Augustine (O.S.A.) in the Philippines, also noting that Rev. Fr. Pendon is a freshman of the department.
"[...] it is very human and very normal to feel nervousness and uncertainty, but it is also very human to push ahead, not just because of the sacrifices and investments [...] that you have made to bring you where you are, but also because if you are to become lawyers, you should not shirk at the first sign of insecurity. You push on,โ remarked Tirol.

September 5 marks the celebration of International Charity Day, declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 to encourage people around the world to engage in volunteerism and philanthropic activities for the benefit of the less fortunate.
September 5 was chosen to commemorate the death anniversary of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, a missionary nun, and โthe saint of the guttersโ who devoted her life to caring for the sick and poor.
May this celebration inspire us and touch our hearts to show compassion and perform acts of charity within our community, especially the needy.
