Meet 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞, known affectionately as Ken or Nono. Born on January 10, 1985, to Salvador Segualan Torre and Leticia Davila Ramos, he pursued his education at the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻, 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟲𝟬 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.

This karaoke-loving Capricorn is both a 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿. Among his notable achievements is the design of the Iloilo Capitol Mural titled "Panaysayun sang Paranoblion," which beautifully narrates the rich culture and heritage of Iloilo’s northern, central, and southern regions. This project was part of the P400 million redevelopment of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol complex on Bonifacio Drive, led by Governor Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr., and has become an iconic symbol of the city.

As the Founder and General Manager of Bloctower Designs, an architectural firm specializing in residential and commercial projects in Iloilo, Ken creates unique design solutions that blend simplicity with elegance. He serves as the head architect and design consultant for IVQ Landholdings Inc., contributing to various projects that enhance the local landscape.

Notable designs from Bloctower Designs include the COMA Seaside Cafe and Bistro in Villa Fundidor, SPA OLIVENZA on Gen. Luna St., Lovely Smile Dental Clinic at Merrymart Mall, and Tano Dental Clinic in Mandurriao. His work with IVQ Landholdings Inc. includes the Prince Baker branches at Festive Mall, Megaworld Mandurriao, Robinsons Main Iloilo City, SM City Mandurriao, and Roxas Avenue in Roxas City.

Among his many accomplishments, Ken takes the most pride in founding his company and navigating the challenges that test his mental and physical strength. The toughest moment came when he faced financial depletion but managed to persevere and sustain his business.

And if he has any message for the youth who’s following in his footsteps as a successful architect, here are his words:

Above these rice field will rise a home that will adapt into an infinite view of nature, strategically located at a center of a rice farm. Boundless and free from the noise of the city, this 3 bedroom residence will be a retirement home of our regular client and this becomes our 2nd project from them. As part of the 48th year foundation of UAP Iloilo Chapter, we at Bloctower Designs was one of the participants to showcase the expertise and passion of making unique, efficient and conducive spaces that help our fellow Ilonggos make design solutions for our built environment. The exhibit is located at lower ground floor at SM City Iloilo in front of Gerry's Grill which will run till June 28,2024..See you there😊🙏❤️

Looking for a Mediterranean inspired Café and Bistro while enjoying the sunset and beach? This is our concept that will captivate beach lovers and coffee addicts to come and see the place and enjoy fresh sea breeze and await for that picture perfect majestic sunset. Going back for a short history, the place was once a pub that caters party goers that serve more of liquors and beverages. The new owners wants to have a lesser investment on the renovation so our idea is to utilize what is present and can be salvaged and use it to create a new character for the new Café and Bistro. And boom! a Mediterranean inspired setting. We make use of the old wood planks from the old tables and used it as base and background for the Cafe's logo. Our way of re-using old materials as new concept to give a rustic vibe to our sleek signage. Since the area are most likely made of Nipas and Bamboos, we used it as an advantage to carry the new branding of the cafe. We employed local materials like bricks, "bolo or liplip", wood and painted the existing bamboos with white to lighten up the space. We then created an elevated platform in artificial turf
with banquet seats beside the bar area and made an arched niches for small art displays. A boho-inspired rattan droplights captivates customers as they enter the area. Cacti murals on white walls painted in lime wash finish background pops-up and captivates anyone who enters the cafe to have a sit and get that photo perfect IG post. At the seaside area, we used canvas draperies and swags accompanied with string lights to create an outdoor ambience. And for the backdrop of the stage area, we used arches with LED strip lights to lighten up the space while creating a cozy mood during acoustic performances of local bands. Bloctower Designs,

Sharing our interior renovation for this bedroom. A bachelor's bedroom with a closet and customized bed and study table. We keep the design simple yet elegant. Color palette were mostly tones of grey and wood textures that gives warmth to the cool effect of grey. We also employed mood lighting through covelight just above the headboard and a droplight beside the bed. Clean lines created by grooves, trims and wainscoting adds the illusion of height to the bedroom. Moreover, the mirror on the side of the bed creates an illusion of space for this tight area. How can we maximize functionality given with a tight space? Here is our Bloctower solution. This 20.00 sqm Studio Type Condo Unit in Avida Tower 3, comprises with a personal toilet & bath and doubles as a laundry area, a kitchen, a dining area and entertainment, a living room and as well as a guest space for sleeping, and a queen size bed for the owner with storage below. The owner opts to have a modern minimalist look with a modern industrial style for a less cluttered and not so preppy look with easy to clean furniture and cabinets. We managed to give a sense of privacy to the sleeping area, thereby delineating private area from the semi private area like the living and dining space. We employed ceiling fan to help recirculate air inside and might as well mitigate in providing artificial cross ventilation within the space since the room is airconditioned. To give an industrial look we used soft tones of white, grey and black and highlighted with our brick headboard arranged in a vertical stack pattern to give a formal look yet rustic in texture. And to add to its cohesiveness with industrial style, wall mounted bed side lamp and table lamp in matte black finish were used to add a vintage look. for your condo design ideas

With our approved new proposal for their 3rd branch, we are sharing these interior photos of our previous project for this Spa at General Luna Street, Iloilo City. Finishing this project was a masterpiece! We experimented alot with the local materials and we did a great job with showcasing local craftsmanship through collaborating with artistic ilonggo talents thereby promoting patriotism. The design was to create a cozy ambiance with subtle colors that will invoke fluidity, calmness and tranquility through colors and textures used in each space. The style used was varied and does not aim to stick with the rules bounded by looks and theories behind but rather aims to give a relaxing vibe while enjoying the services offered by the management. What sets this Spa different from others is its vision of providing a holistic experience that will indulge your sense of sight, touch, smell, and auditory senses with pleasure and satisfaction.

Finally, we are awe to share this proposal for our upcoming interior project for this Spa, Nails and Massage boutique. This will be their 3rd branch and we are excited to show new ideas and design features that will entice their regular customers and future clients. The management seeks to improve their customers wellness and uplift their well being through new services that will set a new standard in the current market.The design draws inspiration from modern minimalist look with, Scandinavian, Japandi, Mediterranean vibe to exude simplicity and elegance through curved lines and rounded edges while super imposing local materials like rattan, local stones, and indigenous materials in the Philippines.
