The week-long ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ค was undoubtedly intended for catching on self-care and quality time with our families and friends. Momentarily on what seemed an alternate reality, to-do lists became watchlists, clinical cases replaced by fiction books and lectures turned into casual conversations over coffees. Such bliss was just what we needed amidst our lives in medical school.
And yet, might be bursting your bubble unfortunately, reality slowly creeps in. Nevertheless, may this break especially leaves you motivated and determined once again to catch on some academics. Hit the books, burn the midnight oil and ace upcoming examinations, Griffins!

This October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month; however, cognizance of this disease is not confined to a mere 31 days. As the calendar soon turns to November, the battle for awareness, support, and empowerment continues. Breast cancer affects millions of lives, from patients and their families to the medical professionals who are committed to winning the battle against this seemingly invincible foe. This campaign aims to increase public knowledge and understanding of the importance of early detection, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer, as well as to support those affected by the disease. Letโs join hands to promote these goals and continue our pursuit of a world where the disease no longer takes its toll.

They say that 80% of the diagnosis is made through a careful and comprehensive history alone. This aphorism puts emphasis on the importance and criticality of history taking and physical examination. Now, Imagine having the ability to write a precise patient's medical history and conduct a thorough physical examination, your clinical ability to diagnose and create subsequent highly effective treatments would be greatly enhanced.

Donning their cottagecore inspired outfits, medical students of Central Philippine University gathered at the Diamond Ballroom of Eon Centennial Hotel and Waterpark for this year's Medicine Night: In Full Bloom last September 9.
Aside from the games getting to bond with their fellow med students, the event prepared by the Medicine Student Council also served as an avenue for them to introduce the different projects they have in store for the Griffins during this school year.
After several years of being held online, Respite's House Sorting Ceremony was finally held face to face and it also took place during the Med Night 2023. The neophytes received tokens as a welcoming gift given by their respective houses.
Lucky griffins enjoyed the night as they won different raffle prizes courtesy of the different sponsors of the event. The griffins also showcased their different talents for their class presentation.
It was indeed a beautiful night to bloom.
