The two day activity (August 14-15, 2024), prepares TPMS participants for the 2nd National Agri-Aqua Technology Pitch Fest.

𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟮!

Program leaders from CvSU kicked things off on May 8th by planning the Phase 1 final report at the STAARRDEC Conference room. On May 23rd, the regional team came together for a virtual and in-person workshop to solidify plans for Phase 2 proposals.

The remaining targets, challenges encountered, best practices and strategy for gap period were shared by each project. While the workshop activities focused on identifying targets for phase 2, discussion of matrix and selection of priority technologies for commercialization, and project team compositions.

𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗗

The Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program in Southern Tagalog has been institutionalized last May 14, 2024 thru the STAARRDEC Resolution No. 8 as agreed on the Joint 15th Executive Board and 95th RRDCC Meeting Series of 2024 referred as "Approval of the Institutionalization of RAISE Program in Region IV" held at the Cavite State University Board Room.

The official institutionalization outlines the RAISE program's goals, structure, and even establishes a RAISE Advisory Council! This will allow the program to expand its reach by working with additional institutions through designated cluster representatives.

Congratulations to our very own, Dr. Ruel M. Mojica, for being the recipient of this year's Dr. Felix Maramba, Sr. Award for Most Outstanding Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer!

It is a remarkable honor that speaks volumes about Dr. Mojica's contributions to the field. The Research Center hopes the award inspires others in the research community to continue striving for excellence and innovation.

𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟭 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟮 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁

A two-day event held on April 11-12, 2024, marked a significant milestone for the RAISE Southern Tagalog program. The event, hosted by Jepthe Laderas and Ms. Nikka Mae Adling at Marinduque State College (MSC), prepares for the completion of its first phase and set the stage for the upcoming Phase 2 initiatives.

The opening ceremony commenced with the unveiling of MSC's Intellectual Property - Technology Business Management (IP-TBM) marker. This final marker completion signifies the program's reach across all ten RAISE Southern Tagalog institutions. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé (MSC VP for Research and Extension), Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta (MSC President), Director Noel A. Catibog (TTPD PCAARRD), and Dr. Almira G. Magcawas (RAISE ATBI Project Leader).

Following the ceremony, presentations showcased the progress and achievements of various RAISE program components. Representatives from the Regional IPTBM, Agri-Business Hub (ABH), Agri-Aqua Business Incubators (ATBI), and Knowledge Management Hub (KMH) provided an overview of their initiatives. This was further supplemented by presentations from each participating institution – Southern Luzon State University (SLSU), Forest Products Research Institute (FPRDI), Batangas State University (BatStateU), Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), Marinduque State College (MSC), Romblon State University (RSU), Rizal Technological University (RTU), University of Rizal System (URS), and Western Philippines University (WPU). Notably, institutional ATBIs from FPRDI Tubo, LSPU, and WPU presented their accomplishments.

The Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD) facilitated a workshop focusing on gathering evidence for the program's 6Ps outputs, conducting a commercialization plan survey, and defining deliverables for RAISE Phase 2.

The second day saw the presentation of workshop outputs. Consolidated reports were presented by Dr. Teddy Tepora for IPTBM and Dr. Almira G. Magcawas for ATBI. Engr. Gee Jay Bartolome and Mr. Rhuzel Leinster Dean J. Julian virtually joined the event to present the consolidated reports for ABH and KMH, respectively.

This collaborative event signifies the successful conclusion of RAISE Southern Tagalog's Phase 1. With valuable insights gleaned from the workshops and presentations, the program is now well-positioned to launch into Phase 2 and further empower the region's agricultural and technological advancements.

𝗛𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗖𝗠𝗜𝘀!

Batangas State University-The National Engineering University, Cavite State University, Laguna State Polytechnic University, and the University of the Philippines - Los Baños received the prestigious Platinum Award at the ITSO President's Summit today! A special shoutout to Rizal Technological University for snagging the Bronze Award as well.

These awards are a testament to the incredible innovation and technological advancements happening at our regional universities made possible by funding agencies like DOST-PCAARRD.

Who will be the overall victors of the InnoVenture: Agri- Aqua Hackathon?

In just two (2) days (February 22, 2024), the InnoVenture: Agri- Aqua Hackathon will be holding its culminating day wherein we will all witness the fruit of our participants' and incubatees' efforts in the presentation of their 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐬.

The Awarding and Closing Ceremonies will be held after the judging and deliberation of the said competitions.

The event will be held in S.M. Rolle Hall, Cavite State University - Main Campus from 9:00am onwards and will be streaming live via Facebook.
