Paano nakakahawa ang TB?

Ang TB ay naipapasa kung ang isang tao ay makalanghap ng mikrobyo ng TB na nasa hangin galing sa ubo o bahing ng taong may TB.

Tandaan na ang TB ay:
❗HINDI namamana.
❗HINDI nakukuha sa pagpapagod, pagpupuyat, o pagkatuyo ng pawis sa likod.
❗HINDI naipapasa sa paggamit ng kubyertos o baso ng taong may TB.
❗HINDI nakukuha sa kagat ng lamok.
❗HINDI naipapasa sa paggamit ng damit o kumot ng taong may TB

Paano ginagamot ang TB?

Ang TB-DOTS o Tutok Gamutan ang pinakamabisang paraan para magamot ang TB. Kailangan lamang ng di bababa sa 6 buwang tuloy-tuloy na gamutan. Iinumin ang mga gamot para sa TB araw-araw sa gabay ng health service provider. Importanteng hindi mahinto ang gamutan upang hindi umabot sa pagiging drug resistant ang TB (DR-TB), dahil magiging mas matagal ang gamutan (hanggang 24 na buwan) o maging dahilan ng iyong pagkamatay.

Ano ang mga side effects ng gamutan?

Posible na ikaw ay makaranas ng mga side effects gaya ng pangangati ng balat, kawalan ng gana kumain, pamamanhid ng paa, at iba pa. Ito ay panandalian lamang at di kailangan ikabahala. Importanteng ipaalam sa iyong health service provider ang iyong mga nararamdaman upang malunasan ito kaagad.

Ano ang mangyayari pag hindi mo tinapos ang gamutan?

Kapag hindi nakumpleto nang tama ang pagpapagamot, maaaring maging Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) na ang TB mo. Kapag umabot na sa MDR-TB, hindi na magiging mabisa ang mga gamot na kasalukuyan mong iniinom.

Ang MDR ay isang malalang uri ng TB dahil:

Mas mahirap gamutin. Mas mahal at mas marami ang kailangang gamot.
Mas matagal ang gamutan, umaabot ng 18-24 na buwan.

Mas madalas na mararanasan ang mga side effects ng mga gamot para sa MDR-TB gaya ng pagkahilo, pagsusuka, pananakit ng tiyan, lagnat, kawalan ng gana, at iba pa. Kaya importante na makumpleto mo nang tama ang iyong kasalukuyang gamutan.

Patient-centered Care

Ang inyong health service provider (HSP) ay nakahandang magbigay sa iyo ng alagang makatao, kaya mahalagang maipahiwatig sa kanya ang mga posibleng maging problema o hadlang sa iyong gamutan. Matutulungan kayo ng inyong health service provider na tugunan ang posibleng mga hadlang sa iyong gamutan.

Mga Responsibilidad mo Bilang Pasyente:

-Ipaalam ang mga nauukol na impormasyon sa iyong health service provider, gaya ng mga nakaraang at kasalukuyang karamdaman.
-Sundan ang schedule ng pag-inom ng gamot araw-araw para masiguro ang paggaling.
-Tumulong sa pag-iwas sa pagkalat ng TB sa komunidad sa pamamagitan ng paghikayat sa mga kakilalang nagpapakita ng sintomas ng TB na kumonsulta agad sa Center.
-Makiisa sa mga kapwa pasyente sa pamamagitan ng pagsuporta sa kanilang pagpapagaling at pagbahagi ng tamang kaalaman na natutunan habang nagpapagamot.

Vitamin A for 6-59 months children.

Sa lahat ng gamit ng BITAMINA A sa katawan, pinakasikat na yata ang pampalinaw ng mata. Ngunit alam nyo ba na kailangan din ang bitaminang ito para labanan ang iba't ibang impeksiyon at para sa maayos na paglaki ng mga bata?

Ang bitamina A ay kailangan upang mapanatili ang normal na dami ng cells at matiyak na sapat ang mucous na nagpapanatiling basa at malagkit ang mga ilang bahagi ng katawan. Katulad nito ay ang gilid sa loob ng ating baga, lalamunan at bituka, pinagdadaanan ng ihi at ang ating mga nervous at reproductive systems. Ang mucous na galing sa mga cells ay may mga sangkap na nakapupuksa ng mga mikrobyo, kaya lumalakas ang resistensya at nalalabanan ang impeksiyon ng katawan. Kapag may kakulangan sa bitamina A, madaling dapuan ng sakit katulad ng sakit sa baga (respiratory infection) at pagtatae. Maaari ding lumala ang tigdas lalo na sa mga bata kung kulang sa bitamina A.

Bukod dito, ang bitamina A ay kailangan din para sa maayos na paglaki. Tumutulong ito sa paglaki ng mga buto o bone growth. Ang bitamina A ang nagpapanatili sa pagiging flexible ng mga buto para madali at normal ang paglaki nito.

BITAMINA A isipin ninyo na ito'y para mapanatiling malinaw ang mata at lumakas rin ang inyong resistensiya.

The Local Government Unit of Santa Maria,Isabela, through its Rural Health Unit ( RHU), headed by Municipal Health officer,Dr. Bryan Julius T. Panganiban, in coordination with the Integrated Provincial Health Office of Isabela, held the first ever Buntis Congress 2023 in Barangay Bangad as the pilot area.

ℌ𝔢𝔞𝔩𝔱𝔥𝔶 𝔴𝔬𝔪𝔢𝔫 𝔞𝔯𝔢 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔣𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔡𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫 𝔬𝔣 𝔞 𝔰𝔱𝔯𝔬𝔫𝔤 𝔠𝔬𝔪𝔪𝔲𝔫𝔦𝔱𝔶 𝔴𝔥𝔦𝔩𝔢 𝔥𝔢𝔞𝔩𝔱𝔥𝔶 𝔫𝔢𝔴𝔟𝔬𝔯𝔫𝔰 𝔞𝔯𝔢 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔣𝔲𝔱𝔲𝔯𝔢.
Each year, however, women are still suffering from preventable complications of pregnancy such as pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, gestational diabetes and the likes.

Though intensified health education is being implemented, there are still women who are affected.

This activity aims to provide awareness and education to pregnant women and help promote better health practices.

The major goal of the activity is to encourage healthy pregnancy 𝖒𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖟𝖊𝖗𝖔 𝖒𝖆𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖓𝖆𝖑 𝖉𝖊𝖆𝖙𝖍 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖑𝖉 𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖙𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖞 as well as to encourage pregnant women to avail of the healthservices and help them have a healthy pregnancy, safe delivery and healthy baby.

This Buntis Congress was an interactive learning session and participants were expected to gain knowledge about the scaling up of nutrition for the first 1000 days of life, safe motherhood, benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, proper complementary feeding techniques, child immunization, importance of facility-based delivery and family planning.

The Integrated Provincial Health Office with RHU Staff also distributed buntis kits to all pregnant women.

Maternal and child health related concerns addressed,a healthier and more productive pregnancy and delivery will be attained.

BARANGAY HEALTH CENTER AND ITS IMPORTANCE

The Barangay Health Center is a community-based and patient-directed organization. Its goal is to provide FIRST AID,, maternal and child health care, diagnosis of social diseases, and other basic health services to all the members of the community it is serving.

Barangay health workers (BHWs) play a vital role in healthcare system. They act as community organizers, educators, and primary healthcare service providers in the community. Therefore, they are at the forefront of the delivery of healthcare services at the grassroots level.

ANO BA ANG MALNUTRISYON?

Ang malnutrisyon ay isang kondisyon na sanhi ng kakulangan, labis o sobra, hindi balanseng kaloriya, at sustansya sa pagkain para magamit ng katawan. Ito ay may dalawang mukha: ang kakulangan sa nutrisyon o undernutrition at ang sobra sa nutrisyon o mas kilala na overnutrition.

-Kasama sa karaniwang uri ng undernutrition ay ang kakulangan sa timbang (underweight), pagkabansot (stunted) at pagkapayat (wasted). Ang overnutrition naman ay ang sobra sa timbang (overweight).

It is really a big help for us to reduce malnutrition through this 120 days feeding program.For continous nourishment for growth and development and to contribute to the improvement of our undernourish children.

What is a sputum culture?

A sputum culture
is a test that checks for bacteria or another type of organism that may be causing an infection in your lungs or the airways leading to the lungs. Sputum, also known as phlegm, is a thick type of mucus made in your lungs. If you have an infection or chronic illness affecting the lungs or airways, it can make you cough up sputum.

What do the results mean?

If your results were normal, it means no harmful bacteria or fungi were found. If your results were not normal, it may mean you have some kind of bacterial or fungal infection. Your provider may need to do more tests to find the specific type of infection you have. The most common types of harmful bacteria found in a sputum culture include those that cause:

Pneumonia
Bronchitis
Tuberculosis

Community-based nutrition are key turning points in implementation strategies leading to food and nutrition improvement as a sound basis for socio-economic development.

OPT Plus helps to identify children who are underweight, wasted and stunted, or obese; and to locate families with malnourished children.

✅Distribution of Vitamin A
Vitamin A is important for normal vision, the immune system, reproduction, and growth and development. Vitamin A also helps your heart, lungs, and other organs work properly.

✅Deworming
Deworming is important for your child’s overall well-being. This habit of deworming should be encouraged in parents.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) include cardiovascular conditions (hypertension, stroke), diabetes mellitus, lung/chronic respiratory diseases and a range of cancers which are the top causes of deaths globally and locally. These diseases are considered as lifestyle related and is mostly the result of unhealthy habits. Behavioral and modifiable risk factors like smoking, alcohol abuse, consuming too much fat, salt and sugar and physical inactivity have sparked an epidemic of these NCDs which pose a public threat and economic burden.

Safe sanitation and hygiene

A safely managed sanitation facility is one where excreta is safely disposed of in situ or treated off-site. A basic handwashing facility is defined by a device to contain, transport or regulate the flow of water to facilitate handwashing with soap and water in the household.

House to house visit,masterlisting, validation , and reporting of 625 Households for environmental health and sanitation status of the first pilot barangay in the municipality.

Sadyang mahalaga ang pagkakaroon ng malinis na palikuran at tamang paggamit nito upang maiwasan ang mga sakit galing sa kontaminadong tubig at pagkain(water-borne and food-borne diseases) tulad ng typhoid fever,cholera,pagtatae (diarrheal diseases)

Malnutrition (undernutrition) is caused by a lack of nutrients, either as a result of a poor diet or problems absorbing nutrients from food,
having limited knowledge about nutrition and low income or poverty.

Some children may become malnourished because of an eating disorder or a behavioural or psychological condition that means they avoid or refuse food.
