Eyes up youth!

It is indeed a good day as we are given an opportunity to accumulate learnings, to provoke consciousness regarding this consistent issue, and to strengthen your walls to face the gap in knowledge when it comes to HIV transmission and prevention awareness.

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is an infection that attacks the body’s immune system. Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is the most advanced stage of the disease. According to Global Statistics, there are still 14% (about 5.5 million people) who did not know that they had HIV and still needed access to HIV testing services.

With Red Cross Youth Council (ASU-RCYC) in collaboration with Aklan Butterfly Brigade-CIT Chapter, we could be able to raise awareness among the youths the importance of understanding HIV/AIDS disease and how we could mitigate the spread of this infection. There is so much learnings for you, so come and join us on May 27, 2024 (Monday) from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Audio Visual Room (AVR) of Aklan State University-Kalibo Campus.

Classroom Mayors, Vice Mayors and Secretaries of homeroom organizations, Governors and Vice Governors of all accredited student organizations as well as students who are vacant on this date are invited!
