HONOR GRADUATE CASH INCENTIVES

We are pleased to announce that the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Puguis is now accepting applications for the Honor Graduate Cash Incentive Program.

BARANGAY ORDINANCE 05-2021
An ordinance establishing the award of cash incentives to honor graduate resident of Barangay Puguis as prime recognition in excelling to their academic accomplishments from the Sangguniang Kabataan fund.

NOTE: LIMITED SLOTS, FIRST TO COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS, FIRST SERVED.

SK-Financial Aid Program (SK-FAP)

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Puguis is pleased to announce the acceptance of applications for the SK Financial Aid Program. This initiative aims to support the educational needs of our youth. Qualified applicants will receive ₱3,000 for high school students and ₱4,000 for college students.

Note:
Interested applicant may procced to Puguis Barangay Hall and look for Sk chairman kiefer Jay B. Shagol. There are limited slots in this program, first to complete the requirements basis.
The applicant must not be a recipient/grantee/beneficiary of any scholarships or grant except for free higher education program under R1 110931.
Please be advised that only one beneficiary per family will be eligible for the scholarship.

CATEGORY:
CONVENTIONAL - This category covers photos taken using all types of digital cameras like Single Lens Reflex (SLR), compact, point and shoot, bridge, mirrorless and rugged.

MECHANICS & CRITERIA:
1. ) PARTICIPANTS: The contest is OPEN to all youth of Barangay Puguis (15-30 years old)
2. ) Participant shall register on the link provided to register on or before August 25, 2024 for pre-activity document preparations. Please prepare scanned copy of valid identification card indicating date of birth for upload.

4. ) Photographs SHOULD BE:
a.) Taken by the participant.

f.) Post of processing of the image is limited to cropping and color enhancements, including shadows and highlights only.
g.) Submitted with basic information of the Photo; Title, location of subject and camera model.

5. ) Photographs should NOT:
a.) Contain watermarks or any identifying mark.
b.) Manipulated.
c.)Violate person’s rights, including, but not limited to copyrights and privacy.
d.) Containing sexually explicit, obscene, offensive or any other inappropriate or objectionable content.

* Players must be a resident of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
* Open to all genders, aged 15-30
* All players should be at the venue on time (no excuses).
* Each team must consist of 5 Main Players (Required) including the Captain of the Team.
* A maximum of 16 teams can register. Registration will be closed once the 16-team limit is reached, and only registered teams will be eligible to participate.
* All players should provide their own Mobile phone and MLBB account (registered on the google form) to be used during the tournament. Wi-fi will be provided.

Calling all freshmen enrolled in any undergraduate program this academic year, we now have funds for the Tulong Dunong Program of Commission on Higher Education (CHED)!

General Mechanics:
1. Artists must either be La Trinidad residents or La Trinidad-based and between the ages of 15-30 years old.
2. All kinds of artworks will be accepted (e.g. paintings, sculptures, carvings, mixed media). Pictures of the artworks and crafts must be attached to the registration form provided. Accepted entries must submit their works on August 09, 2024 only. Late entries shall not be considered.
3. In the case of digital art, the artists shall provide physical copies of their work.
4. Artists must provide their own easels. The organizers shall not accept artworks without easels.
5. Artists may sell their work by including a price tag. All proceeds will go directly to the artists.

2. Ten booths shall be reserved for youth entrepreneurs on August 12-22, 2024. Thus, a first come, first serve basis shall be applied. Proposals shall be attached to the registration form provided.
3. The registration form will close at 5:30 PM, July 31, 2024.
4. Display racks and tables will be provided but all other materials shall be supplied by the participants.
5. No fees shall be collected from the chosen exhibitors.

Today, on July 17, 2024, a bloodletting event was held at the Sinopan Hall, Puguis Barangay Hall. The Barangay Puguis council and Red Cross invited the community to participate in saving lives through blood donation, in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 1021, S. 1997, which declares July of every year as National Blood Donors Month.

Call for project submissions for the 2𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙏 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨

General Mechanics:
1. Projects must have been conducted either by an existing school or community organization. The organization must be registered with the municipality or duly recognized by the school and with sufficient supporting documents to prove accomplishment of such activity. Academic requirement projects (e.g. NSTP) are allowed provided the class registers under a mother organization registered under the school. (e.g. College of Information Sciences-Student Government).
2. The project must be conducted by members who are 15-30 years old La Trinidad residents. Boarders who live in La Trinidad during their studies for at least 6 months shall be considered residents.
3. Projects must have been conducted in La Trinidad. Projects solely funded by the LGU, BLGU, and the province are not allowed as entries. Partnership programs are allowed provided 100% of the funding was not provided by government agencies.
4. Projects must have been conducted within the years 2023-2024.
5. The registration form will close at 5:00 PM, July 31, 2024. Only entries that will pass the paper screening shall undergo validation and project presentation.
6. Duly signed terminal reports must first be attached to the registration form provided.

1. The research must be an undergraduate thesis and can either be quantitative or qualitative.
2. Researches must have been conducted at least 3 years before the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan (2021 onwards).
3. Thesis must have a significant impact in La Trinidad, its sectors, and stakeholders, and such thesis may be used for future policy drafting or implementation of programs.
4. Open to group or individual researches.
5. Thesis must be owned either by La Trinidad residents in schools outside La Trinidad or by students who are enrolled in schools in La Trinidad, and their respondents must also be from La Trinidad.
6. The registration form will close at 5:00 PM, July 31, 2024. Only entries that shall pass the paper screening shall undergo validation and be invited for paper presentation.

Call for paper submissions for the 2𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙏 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨

General Mechanics:
1. The research must be an undergraduate thesis and can either be quantitative or qualitative.
2. Researches must have been conducted at least 3 years before the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan (2021 onwards).
3. Thesis must have a significant impact in La Trinidad, its sectors, and stakeholders, and such thesis may be used for future policy drafting or implementation of programs.
4. Open to group or individual researches.
5. Thesis must be owned either by La Trinidad residents in schools outside La Trinidad or by students who are enrolled in schools in La Trinidad, and their respondents must also be from La Trinidad.
6. The registration form will close at 5:00 PM, July 31, 2024. Only entries that shall pass the paper screening shall undergo validation and be invited for paper presentation.
7. Duly signed thesis abstracts must be attached to the registration form provided.

Today, the SK Puguis, along with SK Wangal, conducted a clean-up drive and installed signages within Barangay Puguis and Wangal. They were assisted by volunteers from the BPED students of Benguet State University (BSU) under the guidance of their adviser, Sir. Eleazar Batling.
