Calling Lawigenean youths, ages 15-30 years old, to join in the the KK Assembly, to be conducted on July 21 at the Lawig Multipurpose Gym.

The talk will be focusing on Mental Health Awareness and Anti-Illegal Drugs Awareness, with our invited guest speakers to attend.

This activity will serve as a Kumustahan Session on their Mental Health especially to students who will be joining the class opening this July-August. Also, aims to enhance awareness of youths in today's issues and concerns in the community and society (e.g. anti-illegal drugs).

The SK Council and the BNC in partnership with the Local Population Office headed by Mrs. Shirley B Leonen, conducted a Parent-Teen Talk Session on July 10 at Barangay Lawig.

The said activity is one of the programs of the Commission on Population and Development (formerly PopCom) advocating and nurturing an Effective Parent-Teen Communication on Sexual Reproductive Health through interactive sessions known as Parent Track and Teen Track.

Together we continue nurturing our community through sparing our time to such programs like this. In turn, enhancing our knowledge and understanding with the dynamic society we are in.

This is not the last, but the beginning to more endeavors to last.

WUSHU — 12-37 y/o

Training runs from July 1-31, every Tuesdays to Fridays at 10AM-12NN, at the Provincial Livelihood Center (PLC), Mabato-bato, Lamut, Ifugao.

Agkaykaysa uray Agduduma: The Lamut Streetdancers snatched the podium to Gotad Neo-Ethnic Streetdance Competition 2024, landing at THIRD PLACE among the ten (10) contingents from the different municipalities of Ifugao.

Salute to Mr. Oliver Wasin, who served as their trainer-choreographer in the different twists and turns, and music director for the sounds used as well.

With all the yells: "Baryo Kamaisan!" and "Agbiag ti Lamut!", to the twists and turns in the station performance, to the all-out graces and drumbeats during the final showdown, we give our warmest claps for representing our municipality, Lamut, in the provincial level.

Thank you for giving us a wonderful performance as the gateway to Ifugao, carrying the Ifugao and Ilocano blend of cultures bound by the community spirit of unity, hence, "Agkaykaysa uray Agduduma."

LOOK: On June 5, the SK Council joined the World Environment Day celebration through a River Clean-Up Drive spearheaded by the MENRO-Lamut with PENR Office; conducted at the Lawig river [starting point below LNHS-main down to the Bridge-near the kayaking area].

Other joiners include the members from the BLGU-Lawig; youths joined by the officers of the Lawig IMFALOY Youth Org and LNHS-SSLG; and personnel of the Lamut MPS, 1stIPMFC-2ndMP and PNP-SAF.

The members of the SK Council of Lawig led by Hon. Maeghan Luis, SK Chairperson, conducted a pick-up drive last May 31, 2024.

EOC EXECUTIVE COURSE TRAINING🚨|| The SK Chairpersons together with Barangay Focal Chairs on Agriculture, Social Services, Health and Infrastructure/BDRRMC of the 18 barangays completed the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Executive Course Training, conducted at the Luis Hora Gym, IFSU-Lamut, Nayon on May 08.

The one-day course aimed to strengthen the BDRRM Committees in the 18 barangays, through the concepts discussed in the EOC management and interoperability as well as engaging the SKs as part of the emergency response team.

Said activity was organized by the MDRRMO in partnership with the IFSU DRRM.

REVISED, READ || We've heard you kabarangayan. Here is the revised Guidelines for the Sports League 2023:

1. All players, both basketball and volleyball events, shall be residents of Barangay Lawig.
2. STRICTLY NO SHOES, NO PLAY.
3. Players under INFLUENCE of LIQUOR are NOT ALLOWED to play. In the case, where a player is found intoxicated during a game, the team will be automatically declared LOSE during the game.
4. All teams shall submit names or list of players on or before Dec 06 (Wednesday) to secure your entry. NO NAMES, NO ENTRY. However, during games each team shall comprise a maximum of 15 players, both for basketball and volleyball.
5. On scheduled games, TEAMS are given 10 minutes to gather and complete their members before game starts. FAILURE to comply is DECLARED LOSE BY DEFAULT.
6. Game results and schedules shall be posted in the SK Lawig page (SK Barangay Lawig).
7. Each team may have their own design of uniforms, but are required to follow the prescribed color code each purok.
Magsaysay - Red, Quezon - White, Upper Roxas - Violet, Lower Roxas - Blue
This applies for basketball only. Volleyball players may not follow color code but follow strictly rule #2. No denim pants.
8. Accessories like earrings, bracelets, rings, watches and other identified harmful or disruptive items during games shall be removed before game starts.
9. Players may join both events (e.g. basketball male and volleyball male) should there be no other players who wish to join (siguraduen yu la nga nag-submit kayo names ta nu awan, no entry). And strictly adhere to other rules indicated.
10. Referees' DECISION is FINAL.
11. No chewing of momma or bubble gum during games.
