Hidden Defects
This is why a wisdom tooth a culprit.😈
-
Most of the patients delay the extraction of their impacted teeth cause either they are scared of surgery or they simply don’t know the importance of getting it removed...
-
Now in 2018 removal of an impacted tooth is almost painless.
-
See how an impacted tooth caused damage to the adjacent tooth..❗️
-
so getting it removed will help patients to save the adjacent teeth and a lot of pain.

Through continuous pressure exerted by placement on the roof of the mouth, the tongue stimulates proper upper jaw growth, much like how a retainer can alter the position of teeth and oral structures, the tongue plays a major role in the development of the human airway and orofacial complex.
Sometimes people are born with conditions they have little or no control over which prevent them from attaining proper oral rest posture. An example is a “Ankyloglossia,” or “Tongue Tie.”
What’s your tongue posture ?! 👅

Stop dental problems before they reach further!
Poor oral health can affect more than your smile. Dental issues like cavities and untreated tooth decay could lead to periodontal disease. A study by the Journal of the American Heart Association found that the inflammation caused by periodontal disease can lead to an increased risk of heart disease.
Oral health and heart disease are connected by the spread of bacteria – and other germs – from your mouth to other parts of your body through the blood stream. When these bacteria reach the heart, they can attach themselves to any damaged area and cause inflammation which results to endocarditis, an infection of the inner lining of the heart.
Even though maintaining oral health isn't a key to prevent heart disease, you should take care of your teeth and gums and visit your dentist regularly. It’s also important to talk to your dentist about your medical history, including whether you have a heart condition or a family history of heart disease.
By following a healthy lifestyle and addressing the common risk factors of both diseases, you can help improve both your oral and overall health!
Choice is yours
Poor oral health can mean missed school, lower grades and missed work for parents as well.
Amazing result from orthognathic surgery done to the mandible, also known as corrective jaw surgery or simply jaw surgery, designed to correct conditions of the jaw and face related to structure, growth, sleep apnea, TMJ disorders, malocclusion problems owing to skeletal disharmonies, or other orthodontic problems that cannot be easily treated with braces. Originally coined by Harold Hargis, this surgery is also used to treat congenital conditions such as cleft palate. Typically, during oral surgery, bone is cut, moved, modified, and realigned to correct a dentofacial deformity. The word "osteotomy" means the division, or excision of bone. The dental osteotomy allows surgeons to visualize the jawbone and work accordingly. The operation is used to correct jaw problems in about 5% of general population presenting with dentofacial deformities like maxillary prognathisms, mandibular prognathisms, open bites, difficulty chewing, difficulty swallowing, temporomandibular joint disorder pains, excessive wear of the teeth, and receding chins. Many surgeons prefer this procedure for the correction of a dentofacial deformity due to its effectiveness.
