Sari is known to have written and directed several plays for more than 20 years, but seldom do we see him onstage. In celebration of the National Arts Month, we proudly bring Sari Saysay under the spotlight as he performs different characters from three of his written plays.

He wrote "JUNKSHOP" in 2008 as the final output in a playwriting course in UP Diliman. It was first performed in Quezon City that same year, and in UST Legazpi (then Aquinas University) in 2010.

"ANG BATA SA BUS STOP" was a main feature in the 2017 edition of the Virgin Labfest at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. This play was also staged in a number of productions by different theater companies in the Philippines, and is included in the book 'Rarom, Rayo' which was published in 2018.

We have not seen "BISPERAS NG PEÑAFRANCIA" yet, as this is Sari Saysay's newest play which he still considers as a work in progress and is now one year in the making. Hmmm, this one sounds like a story very close to our hearts.

Sari will be joined by fellow actors Steph, Nols and Darwin. There will also be special performances in between plays. After the show, a short dialogue will follow - a chance for aspiring writers, fellow artists, students, and everyone to ask questions about theater, writing and acting.

This is also a fundraising show, so bring your friends and donate what you can!

For your creative events on February 15-22, 2023, we are offering free use of Pasakalye Black Box as your venue. You just need to pay P500 maintenance fee good for a 4-hour event. You can hold your concerts, art workshops and classes, poetry readings, performances, film showings, creative forum/talks, and the likes. (Rehearsals will not be considered.)

Jonathan Ivan Rivera has been performing magic for 18 years now. He is also an actor for TV, Film and Theater. Over the years, Ivan has been guest speaker for Magic at PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association). On special projects, Ivan is also a Magic Consultant for Film and Theater - his latest project being 'Spellbound' with Marco Gumabao and Bella Padilla. Ivan is also a member of the most prestigious worldwide magic club, the INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF MAGICIANS.

He has performed in almost all the venues including hotels, malls, resorts, golf courses, country clubs, theaters, yachts and even aboard a flying airplane!
