Microscopic and in vivo view of an engorged( pregnant) tick.

When you kill a tick on your dog by pressing them, you release thousands of eggs into the environment, which developed into ticks (aggressive suckers) thus infesting your dog again and they can be serve as vector of a deadly blood parasites like Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasma and Babesia.

To avoid this, ensure you inspect your dog’s body, specially within their ears and between their paw and bath them regularly with the appropriate shampoo and bar soaps which some are available in our clinic.

Dogs are curious by nature. They love to investigate new sights, smells, and tastes. Unfortunately, this curiosity can lead them into trouble. They may ingest objects that may cause gastrointestinal obstruction or even perforation that could lead to a very serious situation.

Most pets that have ingested a foreign body will exhibit some of these clinical signs:
• vomiting
• abdominal tenderness or pain
• decreased appetite (know as anorexia)
• straining to defecate or producing small amounts of f***s
• lethargy

Be vigilant of the things your furbabies might be ingesting. A good practice is to keep all small and sharp objects away from your pets and to keep tabs on their toys. If you suspect that your pet may have swallowed a foreign object bring them immediately to the nearest veterinary clinic.
