For my final pitch in my MBA Call to Leadership class, I embraced the challenge of addressing a significant societal issue. Inspired by my personal Ikigai, I am dedicated to empowering youth by tackling three pressing challenges: teen pregnancy, teen addiction, and teen su***de. This led me to create www.youth360tools.com, my very own website, as a comprehensive hub for connecting with youth from diverse backgrounds.

Through this platform, I aim to establish a supportive community and organize impactful events, providing a space where young individuals can shape their lives and contribute to building a brighter future and a stronger nation.

📝A fun tidbit about our family dynamic: my daughter Zeph's favorite bedtime stories are the ones where I share stories about my wonderful sisters. She'd always request, "Mommy, tell me about the 5 sisters!" I'd dive into vivid descriptions of each, and she'd eagerly guess which sister I was talking about.

Today is all about shining the spotlight on my dynamic duo of Ates, Pabs (Jan 8 ) and Patchy (Jan 10), as they mark another trip around the sun!! WOHOOO!

Now, when it comes to Ate Ivy, I always highlight her as the embodiment of fashion and style. She taught me the importance of caring for one's physical appearance, especially the skin. Her dresses are like canvases she joyfully decorates. Beyond her flair for fashion, Ate Ivy is a music lover and a dancing queen. She was a cheerleader in her teens.
But it doesn't stop there – she's also passionate about serving others, particularly within the church community. What truly sets her apart is her active involvement in family history and genealogy work, showcasing a dedication to preserving our roots. My daughter affectionately paints her as the most vibrant "tita" in our lives, forever ushering in joy with an infectious energy and a smile that could outshine the sun! 🌞

Ate Irene, our family's dazzling fusion of beauty and brains, has been a shining academic star since her grade school days. Her journey reached new heights when she graduated in the U.S., gracing the ceremony with a captivating speech. In the realm of academia, she wasn't just my sister; she was my dedicated tutor, crafting visually stunning aids for my reports and lending her brilliance to my school projects.
Beyond academics, Ate Irene became the catalyst for my chance to study abroad. She also fueled my decision to embark on a full-time mission for our church. Even when she was on her own missionary journey, she constantly wrote me letters.
Now, my daughter playfully dubs Ate Irene as the "wealthiest" among the sisters, not just in material terms but in the boundless generosity that defines her character. 💫

Happy birthday to these incredible sisters who add so much color and vibrancy to our lives! 🎉 Sending heaps of love your way!!! ❤ 🌟

Today marks our 9th wedding anniversary. Here are a few cherished moments captured during our engagement photoshoot and wedding day!

Marriage frequently teaches us about patience, teamwork, and understanding. It highlights the value of effective communication, unconditional love, and building of dreams together.

Before marriage, the advice was not to run faster than "YOUR" strength, but once married, it becomes "OUR." Do not run faster than OUR strength. Finding the right harmony may require either slowing down or speeding up together. Marriage goes through various seasons of shifting priorities.

With the passage of time, cultivating an appreciation for differences, establishing common ground, and consistently investing in the relationship become pivotal elements of a fulfilling and rewarding marriage.

I appreciate the gift of friendship. Dawn has been my best friend since we were in our primary years at church. We were baptized on the same day. Aira joined our friendship when we were all young single adults.

We went to school at the University of the Philippines—Los Banos while serving in the youth organization together. We are now mothers with young children. I am fortunate to have wonderful women with whom I can discuss parenthood and wifehood and share common interests in music, dancing, acting, and teaching.

I’m glad I have found Dawn and Aira since I was young because their influence is truly a blessing. True friends spend time with us, cry with us, correct us, and celebrate with us!

If you fail to evaluate your experiences, you will learn nothing. In other words, experience is automatic, but insight is not.
Reflective journaling allows us to live an authentic life by going through the process of self-reflection and self-discovery.
Writing my sentiments and thoughts on a regular basis helps me to recognize what I've done well and where I can progress in my personal life, spiritual journey, and professional development. It enhances my critical thinking, writing skills, and, most importantly, my relationships with others.

I have kept three kinds of journals since my primary years: a planner, a study journal, and a diary. This year, I started another kind, which is my “Devotion Journal." It is like a mini-scrapbook of love for myself, my family, life, and my Heavenly Father.

Family is the first place where you learn most the good things in life. Our defined core values guide our actions and shape our perspectives, so that regardless of our current or future differences, they will serve as our common ground for bringing us together and fostering mutual respect.

My business ethics class gave me the motivation I needed to develop our family's core virtues. They are guiding principles that act as a moral compass to provide direction, particularly during trying times.

We believe that even though we will one day have diverse perspectives based on our varied experiences, fields, political perspectives, and other sources of knowledge, these fundamental values will unite us.

This is the school year when all Burgos Squad members are in school. Zayn is a first-time student who started pre-nursery. He is gaining more independence and self-confidence each day! I love his keen awareness of his surroundings. Lately, he has been asking numerous questions because of his eagerness to discover the world!

Zeph is currently in second grade. She enjoys mathematics and loves dancing. She has started to sleep in her own room and keep it tidy. I like that she is taking greater initiative to complete her assignments.

Michael is pursuing his second degree, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health, at Brigham Young University - Idaho. While I am pursuing my Master's Degree in Business Administration at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

In our home, education is highly valued. And we believe that learning should be enjoyable! It is a lifetime commitment to continue learning and to impart the knowledge we acquire in this life.

How to turn “Families CAN be together forever” to our “Families WILL be together forever?”

When I reached the appropriate age for marriage, I came to the realization that selecting a lifelong partner is not a simple task. I did experience times of hopelessness. I discovered that the right person is the one who will show up when it is most ideal for you and when your heart is in the right place. It is pivotal that you both adhere to the same set of values.

How do we continuously make this relationship strong now that we've been married for 8 years?
In my opinion, the most crucial priority—the family—must be chosen at all times. There will be many obstacles, opportunities, and diversion along the way. There were instances when we had to decline enticing offers and other significant obligations. We must let go of anything that will divert us from creating an eternal family.

Parenting ignites our commitment to lifelong self improvement. It motivates us to make moral decisions, establish worthwhile goals, and deepen our faith in God. We cherish a firm belief that we are all a part of God's big family.

The most crucial lesson we want our children to learn is that "I Am a Child of God," which is a fundamental truth that will help them make wise choices in life that will lead them to the paths of serenity and happiness.

Our families WILL be together forever someday if we will choose to prioritize them, make ourselves worthy of this promised blessing and exert every effort to make this goal a reality! ☀️

The Burgos Squad Hauz celebrated the 7th Birthday of the family’s princess, Ate Zephrine last July 22nd at Rodolfo’s Garden. It was a mermaid party! 🧜‍♀️ We had the opportunity to bring together the most important people in our family. Both Daddy Mike's and Mommy Nyles' families attended to celebrate! They came from the provinces of Oroquieta (Mindanao), Tuguegarao, Pasig and Bulacan. Our closest friends from church, work, school and the neighborhood were present as well.

This Saturday was especially fortunate because it was sunny all day, considering there had been typhoons both before and after this week. We are extremely grateful to our Heavenly Father for His love & unwavering support! 💕
