IT’S A WRAP!

The final leg of brought exhilarating theatre performances from Sining Banwa with "XP" and ARTIST, Inc. with “Ang Mahiwagang Ngiti ni Pepe," showcased in Legazpi City, Albay, and Los Baños, Laguna on August 26 and 28, 2024, respectively.

The program also featured dynamic workshops on theatre practices from ARTIST, Inc. and Sining Banwa, engaging local participants and members of both organizations in enriching experiences.

Our huge thanks to the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the CCP Cultural Exchange Dept. led by the amazing Ms. Carmencita Bernardo, for making this initiative possible.

📣 2ND CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS!

Malikhaing G**o is now in its 11th year gathering of teachers, educators, researchers, cultural workers, and artist-teachers to showcase contextualized demonstration of lessons and research papers that uses the home, school, and community garden as the context in teaching MELCs.

Aligned with UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development, this year’s theme is FOOD SECURITY, HERITAGE, BIODIVERSITY, AND CULTURE-BASED EDUCATION. In its 11th year, the Conference aims to provide the participants an avenue to articulate their practices and understanding of the relevance of culture-based education in addressing issues on food security, heritage and biodiversity.

✨ SUBTHEMES
1. Integrating biodiversity knowledge in learning environments
2. Local botanical knowledge, indigenous peoples, and food heritage
3. Schools in action: teaching climate change resiliency and food security through home gardening
4. Culture-based education and the “Pinggang Pinoy”: considerations for food access, availability, utilization, and stability
5. Transformations and innovations in local food cuisine amidst emerging trends in food taste, health, and wellness
6. Creative teaching-learning approaches in promoting food security in the community

✨ SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
1. Proposals for presentation must clearly show relevance to the conference theme and any of the subthemes.
2. Knowledge sharing may be in any of the following research-based modes:
- Paper presentation
- Research-based performance
- Demonstration of lesson/exemplars/self-learning modules
- Workshop/conversation
- Short film/multimedia exhibition
3. Accomplish the 11th MG Proposal Form on or before SEPTEMBER 15, 2024. Carefully follow the guidelines stated therein. You may access the form thru this link: https://bit.ly/11thMGProposalForm
4. Submissions may be written in Filipino or English.
5. Awards may be given to outstanding presentations with full quality paper submission.
